I had the most debilitating panic attacks! I started getting them at 23 yrs old. Beforehand, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I thought I was having a heart attack (other panic-disorder sufferers know what I mean!) So, for YEARS, I would have an attack w/out any outside trigger or reason. I stopped drinking coffee, alcohol, and even thought that I was causing them from eating high-fat fo...

Until June, I have been on 6mgs of this poison for seven years. In my opinion, it is given out to easily, prescribed at high doses for too long at a time, and is highly addictive if used for most two weeks. I've been going through withdrawal for weeks and it is only the beginning of what I will endure. Just watch the videos on Youtube or Google Klonopin Withdrawal and you will be horrified. I have...

I've been on Klonopin for years, the drawback is that it's addictive and uninformed doctors can be hesitant to prescribe it when you've been seeing another doctor for years and he/she retires, passes away, etc. Drug works great, doctors that have never met you, just looked at your chart, not so much. So if you start this medication, make sure you have a back up plan, because if you don't, you can find yourself in a world of hurt. And worse yet, you start becoming unstable again and if like me, other drugs are unable to be taken, well, what can you do. It's not like good people want to take potentially addictive drugs, the other drugs worked, not without the "life endangering" side effects though. It would be great to take them, but I can't. Till then, I'm struggling to find a doctor to get my medication, (Klonopin), which has been working well for years. If you're not a drug addict, this drug is a life saver.Read More Read Less

Works great, I've been on it for years. The less you use it the better it will work when you need it, but I've found the even with daily use it still keeps my anxiety/panic under control.

I have had a seizure disorder for over 7 years now. Originaly the neurologist decided since they weren't as serious as they could be just to have me monitor them and if the seizures continue to go back and see him about anti-seizure meds which he didn't want me on due to side effects. About a year later I noticed I had severe panic attacks that led me to convulse so I went to E.R. which they thought the episodes were caused from anxiety so they prescribed me xanax. Been there, done that, and all that is is an addictive habit and a way to put you to sleep. It was my family doctor who suggested Clonzepam/Klonipin 1 mg. per day. And it worked great! However, as any meds go you get immune to them and now I take 2 mgs. 3 times daily which I also came immune to so I figured I would take them as needed so I didn't have to rely on them at all times and they work better when I start to feel as if I'm going into panic mode. Needless to say, they are great but could always go up on mgs. for us who cant feel them anymore.Read More Read Less

I use this to calm me down in social situations. I take this along with zoloft for generalized anxiety disorder and social phobia. It doesn't help with everything but definitely makes situations better.

I have been taking klonopin on and off for years now and I absolutely love it. I have never had any noticeable addictive issues with it except for at night sometimes I can't get to sleep easily when I don't take it. Right now I'm just starting clinicals in the OR (operating room) to be a surgical technologist and I'm not gonna lie, my anxiety and stress has been the worst it's been in years so I'm back on it and doing just fine, I feel so much better going in for a surgery, cause it can be extremely stressfull. Honestly I have never heard of having side effects like vomitting or shaking or memory loss, that's just odd if you ask me. Read More Read Less

I have been on this medication for a long time. For at least 20 years off and on. Now I take it on a regularly. 1/2 mg every 4 hours. I know now that I am addicted to this drug. I get up in the middle of the night sweating because my body wants that dosage every 4 hours. It gets to be a pain but the drug helps me a lot to cope with my anxiety problem.

I have not been on Klonodine long, but the side effects are kind of bothersome. I am in college online and the sleepy feeling is the only side effect that is bothersome. I was prescribed this medication for panic/anxiety attacks and it is wonderful! NO ANXIETY/PANIC ATTACKS OR RUNNING UP TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM EITHER!

I've been taking this med for at least 15 years. If it wasn't for this, I don't know how would I've handled my situation. I tried other drugs before this, and none of them were as effective. As long as you don't overdue it, you'll be ok. I used to take 2 mgs every morning and every nite. Now I only take 0.5 mgs as needed. There are certain circumstances that increase my anxiety, and I have to take my med, other than that I can go without it. I believe that if you need to take a med to have a normal life, go for it. If people want to describe it as an addiction, then, so what, as long as it improves my quality of life, I wouldn't care that much.Read More Read Less

I have bipolar disorder with GAD, SAD, and ADHD. It works great when I take it as needed, but sometimes I am reluctant to take it at my worst times because I become so anxious I can't think. But, as soon as I take it (or my fiance gets me to) it works and calms me down fast. I make sure to use it only when I really need it because I have an addictive personality. Even if I am sober, I still have major fears, but I need to realize that when I take it for the right reasons it WORKS!

I'm sure at this point I am addicted to the medication, but it no longer keeps the panic attacks away and I take a good dose 1mg 3x's a day and still have panic attacks. I am still seeing my psychiatrist every 2 months. He would like to see me reduce them, as they are no longer working for me.

I have been on Klonopin for about 15 yrs now, I know it is very addicting but all I take is 1mg per day and I am usually fine unless certain things happen like my husband being deployed and my dr raised me to 1mg 2 times a day, then it went to 1mg 3 times per day as needed, I find it to be very rare that i would need the 3 a day, i limit myself because of the addictiveness, but I tell you what, if it wasnt for klonopin I really dont think i would be here today. 1mg per day and I feel normal, I have tried taking myself off but I dont want to, it doesnt give me a buzz or make me high like i said i feel normal and i can function you just need self-control as far as the addictiveness is concerned. Klonopin has been my saving grace and i would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone...Read More Read Less
