This drug is made up of vinegar and hydrocortisone and has been around for years. It is currently being sold at twice the cost of newer drops like floxin and ciprodex. vinegar and water irrigation can work as well. Paying over $25 for this drop is ridiculous and charges are between $180 and $260! Don't be an idiot and use this drug

Prescribed extreme dryness of the ear canal and excessive wax.Be careful though in the use as the hydrocortesoine can influence the glaucoma pressure readings in your eyes.

My husband was given this prescription in April and we paid $25 for it. The company Activas has since boosted the price to $270. Outrageous. Called the doctor who said try vinegar and hydrocortisone. This is complete abuse of the regulatory system. Ask your doctor for another solution. Don't support this predatory behavior by Activas.

First time I used it, by the time I got the 3rd drop in my ear, I was screaming. The pain was so severe, felt like a knife was shoved in my ear. The pain lasted an hour.

Worked were other things failed...but, Kaiser just tried to charge me $156.00 for a bottle that holds like 20 drops total! (first bottle was $5). "It is no longer formulary" they said. W.T.H! Is there ANY chance it costs Actavis anywhere near that much to make Acetic Acid?!? And Hydrocortisone is dirt cheap.
