I literally just started using this medication about three hours ago, and I can already tell the difference. It was very painful for me to urinate and I felt as if I had to go constantly! About an hour after I took this medicine, the pressure to pee every five seconds went away. Also, the burning sensation during urination also decreased as well! It didn't go away completely, but I just started ta...

I had a serious side effect, irregular heartbeat. I would suggest that people read the side effects before taking. I should have done this!

Had always worked in the past but this time it does not work at all. I tried three different boxes from three different stores. Yes, I was desperate for relief since the UTI started Friday afternoon and I couldn't get to a Doctor until Sunday. All the boxes were well within expiration date but none of them worked like they used to. Was something changed? The pills in one of the boxes didn't even turn my urine orange. The pain was awful. I will try the other brand next time.

I really don’t know if AZO works or not since I only took one dose which made me extremely dizzy and nauseous. So I will not continue to take it - not worth the side effects.

I developed a UTI on a Sunday night with frequent and urgent urination. Didn't get to a doctor till Tuesday thanks to Covid. Doctor recommended AZO till test results got back. Took AZO and within hours pain and urgency diminished till antibiotics cleaned out the infection. Would recommend to relieve symptoms of UTI till Doctor can be seen. Don't be surprised by color of urine after taking.

Got a UTI yesterday. Read about Azo so tried it until I could contact my doctor. Helped considerably with the discomfort and persistent need to urinate. Unfortunately it interferes with standard dip test for a UTI. Sample has to be forwarded for culture meaning an extra day or two before I can get an antibiotic prescribed. Sigh.

Really helps UTI pain, but I develop an excruciating headache that’s not worth it for me. I would only use again in extreme situation where I could not get to the doctor for antibiotics within a couple of hours and ibuprofen doesn’t make the uti pain tolerable. I’m the only person I know who has this issue, though.

It took a while to kick in but it did eventually help the pain and frequency from the UTI I had. However, the first day I was on it I had gone to a Freindsgiving where I did eat a lot. I ended up throwing up, most likely from this medication. If I had eaten less I would have been fine. Overall, I would take it again but I would be cautious to not eat a lot when I take it. The pain of the UTI I had was pretty rough and relief with a little bit of stomach aches was alright for me; at least I could pee without any painful burning. Also your pee will turn orange, but that's normal for this medication.Read More Read Less

Uristat works alot better for me than Azo. I feel that Uristat has a thicker coating and coats the burning sensation very well for me.

I’m 20 years old, and either have a bladder infection or UTI. I’ve taken 2 of the AZOs UTI relief along with one of the Azos Cranberry pill, I also make sure to drink it down with cranberry juice ! And I’m overall satisfied, I was in a lot of pain in my abdomen area and I don’t feel it at all after an hour of taking the pills! Only side affect is your urine may be a almost orangish-yellow color, it’s totally normal though,

I bought AZO and cranberry juice a few hours after the symptoms started. It worked within 30 minutes. I couldn't believe it! No side effects.

At 51 years old I got my first UTI. Didn't know what it was, I had a lot of pressure, thought I had lifted something to heavy and pulled a muscle, after 4 days did research and found AZO UT Defense at Target. I bought the AZO Cranberry pills also, after the 2nd day the pressure was gone, thank goodness. I had no adverse symptoms from the pills. I only take 2 AZO UT Defense although the directions say take 3, 2 pills seem to work for me with no side effects. I take them with food and lots of water. Read More Read Less

I have used Azo several times and believe it is a God send for me. Recommended it to a friend and she had stomach cramps and nausea. I guess like anything else, different strokes for different folks. Trial and error, we still don’t know if problems are directly related as two others in house have been ill. At this point I’m grateful to have been blessed with relief from it.

I woke with a suspected UTI & was thankful to have this on hand after the last UTI also showed up on the weekend. I had hoped it would work more quickly than it did, however after 2 1/2 hours I was finally able to relax enough to go back to sleep in the middle of the night. Pain and frequency of urination symptoms subsided for nearly 12 hours after it started working.

Woke up with my first UTI in over 20 years on Christmas Day. lots of pain and bleeding, and frequency. took my first ever AZO to make it through the day of "visiting" outside my home, and until I could call my doctor the next day. I am diabetic. I had NO nausea or dizziness as others have reported. Within 20 mins I could tell my symptoms were improving. no more pressure, able to avoid the bathroom for increasing time periods. Could tell as it wore off, so knew it had been working. (and my pills were out of date!) I will get more to have around for sure. Talked to my doctor on 12/26 and got antibiotics, but would not have made it through Xmas without AZO Standard. Read More Read Less

Took it twice and twice I had nausea, vomiting and diarrhea!! Will never take it again! At first I thought I had the stomach virus but when it happened again, it had to be the Med! Get something from your Doctor!

I have interstitial cystitis and on forums have read that azo is supposed to be pretty helpful! I was excited because my previous remedy (Ural) sometimes made me throw up if I was originally feeling queasy but honestly it was pretty good! After trying azo however, I immediately felt nauseous and did my best to hold it down but 10 minutes in I had to vomit. So distressing to see everything come out of me it being orange-ish yellow and there is So Much Staining. my lips were yellow-ish, my teeth were stained with yellow around the edges (gross!) and my toilet is going to need a good bleach. I'm very sad honestly knowing it has helped a lot of people with my condition but if you have a sensitive stomach I'd suggest bypassing this medication because after 3 hours I still feel sick and I'm still experiencing the flare up from my cystitis.Read More Read Less
