Put your head down (look at your toes) when spraying the solution and hold your head in that position for 15 to 20 seconds... that should eliminate the bad taste in your mouth.

I was getting a sore throat (more in the vocal chords when speaking) and believe it is from the spray as it goes away when I stop taking it. Is it true it can cause weight gain?

I suffer from persistent post nasal drip which has recently triggered uncontrollable coughing fits and runny eyes. No other treatment seemed to work until my doctor prescribed azelastine. The bitter taste is tolerable as a price for temporarily suspending my coughing spasms. Surely, there must be something that can rid me of this curse.

This has been the only thing that staves off the excessive mucus without crazy side effects. It is easy to use, and if you use it correctly no bitter taste or sore throat! It also helped with the swelling of my eyes!!

Works well. I've used it on and off for about four years. I have not experienced any side effects, if any.

I've been using this spray for several months and I wonder if a tolerance can be built up - it is less effective as time goes on and I need to use an additional antihistamine. It worked well for the first 90 days or so.

This medication is working fine so far. Its not a 100% satisfactory, but I do get some relief.I used fluticasone for two yrs and did not get half the relief that azelastine provided. The bitter taste is tolerable for the relief i get.

Been using three months with satisfaction. Getting better results than with OTC oral antihistamines I've used for lifetime. No significant side effects. Use morning and sometimes evening if necessary.

It takes about 1-2 hours before it kicks in, but then it lasts all days for my allergy symptoms. However, I do have a good bit of nausea associated with it, as well as a little jitteryness. All of the side effects say it makes you sleepy, and for me, it does the opposite. Hard time sleeping at night with this drug, even if I use it first thing in the morning.

This medication runs down the back of my throat leaving an extremely bitter, bad taste in my mouth.

I have been using this medication for about two years and found it to be effective. It does however have a bitter after taste but well worth the relief it provides.

Unpleasant taste; nose still gets stuffy; does help somewhat with the post nasal drip, which is the main reason for taking this medication.

This stuff tastes horrible if you get any down your throat...it actually made me throw up. And on top of that it didn't work AT ALL! I do not recommend this. Pepper in my soup cleared my nose up better!

I had a cough for 4 months that no one could get rid of. After 4 antibotics, changing my asthma medications, taking my acid reflex meds twice a day and many types of cough medicines I was still coughing and not getting better. This stopped the coughing the first day of use. It may taste bad if it gets to the throat but I have not coughed since. YEA!!!!!
