Before this medication I was absolutley a mess. I was crying almost everyday, on my days off from work I would lay on the couch and would not get up all day. I had stopped going out with friends, gained over 30 lbs, and overall just didn't care about anything. I decided it was time to take action and as much as I thought, oh this is a phase and I will snap out of it, I realized I couldn't do it on...

My 19 year old daughter starting taking this medication Dec. 18 to treat for clinical depression. On Jan 16, she overdosed on the wellbutrin. Her behavior and mood since she started taking wellbutrin has gone downhill. She survived the overdose but had many seizures. She is now in a psych ward under a 14 day hold.

I have been on this for 3 weeks and am now stopping. My regular resting pulse is about 70-on drug 125+. Shaking anxious, mind racing and can't keep up. Tried a lower dose of 75mg but same results. Has not helped with the depression. Knowing I can't take ssri's, thought this might help-not.

My doctor started me on it as a trial run for nerve pain. I've been taking it for about 5 months and it has definately made a difference. The hypersensitivity has decreased and so has the burning in my leg. The only problem I had was in the beginning, I couldn't sleep. I would wake up at 4 or 5 AM and could not go back to sleep. That lasted for about 3 weeks. I hope this helps.

Wellbutrin is a great antidepressant, but it should be noted that the generic form of Wellbutrin is not quite the same as the name brand. The generic does not work at all for me, but the name brand works quite well, with no side effects that I am aware of.

Where do I begin? Wellbutrin, I thought was a lifesaver until I begin to slow down and do "normal" things in my life. While being an athlete, I did not have the time to sit down and notice the impact of this medication; however, once becoming a mother, I noticed the zombie in me. I literally felt like a zombie once re-prescribed this medication (I did not take the medication while pregnant). Times where it was perfectly normal for me to cry (like a funeral) I would not cry at all. I was desensitized to the world around me to include my newborn. I immediately took myself off the medication without the guidance of the doctor (bad idea - but at the time it worked for me). I did not have any withdrawal issues, which is a good thing! Nevertheless, I begin to try other medications in hopes of addressing my depression. But, I did not want to go through life feeling numb. In the end, I have turned to herbal treatment which is working wonders for me. I will NOT go back to this medication. I promised myself and those who love me. Read More Read Less

I have only been on wellbutrin for 2 1/2 weeks and I already feel better. I was having difficulty coping with life, home alone with 5yr and 3yr and hubby gone during the week (truck driver) I also had to sell my beautiful home cause of finanical problems. I actaully could get out of bed & felt normal for once, got my energy back & alot more patience with my kids (both hyper),I also lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks (that was great cause I'm 40 pounds overweight from the depression) The only problems is that the side effects started when my MD double the dose week 2. Three days after starting to take 300mg, I broke out in hives just on my face. I couldn't leave the house until they went away! I also feel a little absent minded, spelling words wrong and forgeting what I was doing. I didn't have these problems with the 150mg. Off meds for awhile until rash clears up and then going back to 150 and see what happens.Read More Read Less

I was on this medication for approximately 1 month and my anxiety and depression worsened. My husband is on the same medication and he had been more irritable and has become more aggressive and more aggitated over time but was going to talk to his doctor this morning to change his dosage or just change his medication all together.

I have found this medication very effective at helping with my depression. It has made it easier for me to get out of bed and has stopped me from crying for no reason. There seem to be two types of generic pills; I found one didn't help me at all, but the other one (purple colored) was as effective as the brand name version. I experience shaking hands and constipation from the medication. It doesn't cause the low sex drive and weight gain that I've experienced with other medications.

I was on a low dose (250 mg) of Wellbutrin for depression, but found it did not help much. Months later I was diagnosed with fibromalygia, and with a 300 mg dose found remarkable improvement in daily functioning. The generic seemed to cause bleeding during bowel movements. Only complaint now is weight gain.

Wellbutrin was like a miracle drug for me. I never took anything that actually made a difference. I took 450mg/day. It was so good it stabilized me from feeling suicidal. I noticed that after a couple years on it, I still have major episodes of depression, but I think overall daily symptoms where better on Wellbutrin.

im 19 years old and in the school i want to be in, have the pretty girlfriend who everyone loves, but yet i get panic attacks. after a trip to the ER thinking i was having a panic attack, my regular doctor proscribed zoloft which made me vomit, as well as lexapro having no change in side effects. soon the wellbutrin was prescribed which helped at first...i about 2 months later i had 2 panic attacks due to stress at school. i how ever feel that i should get off the drug because at this point in my life it seems to be doing more harm then good. when i wake up it feels like my heart is beating 300 beats per minute and i dont feel well. hopefully i have have with drawl symptoms as i have only been on the drug a few monthsRead More Read Less

I had a lot more energy on this medication. However I had side effects that were somewhat annoying and made me stop the drug. Most noteable to me was a slight tremor in my hands, making handwriting look worse. But I have to say I was not on this medication for more than two weeks so I cannot fairly judge this medication. I actually might try it again for my depression.

I have been taking this for four months now and I was sick at first lost weight, outlook on life was better, and I stopped smoking which that was a bonus, then the generic came out and my insurance would rather pay for that then the name brand and still pay the same copay. NOT HAPPY, the generic sucks!

works wonders. didn't notice a difference, then a few months into treatment i realized alot had changed: i wasn't as moody, sad and depressed, irritable, and i felt more in control of my life. I switched to the generic, but i have lost my sex drive and vomit randomly and sweat alot(not often, but it is annoying when you are out and start sweating and get sick). seems like name-brand wellbutrin is the way to go. I lost more than 20 pounds taking this. Chronic depression runs in the family so my mom switched antidepressants to this drug and she likes it too. try it it might be worth it for youRead More Read Less

This medication has cause more problems then helping. I took this medication for stress and baby blues. After moving to the 300mg, I would sweat so bad and feel very grumpy. My family said that I was more stressed out and very rude. I did lose 7 pounds in one week, I was not over eating. That was good but after 3 weeks my blood pressure was through the roof and I was having very bad headaches.I have never had blood pressure problems so my doctor I must be the 4% that gets high blood pressure from Wellbutrin. I have been off it for 4 days and feel better but still have high blood pressure.Read More Read Less
