I have been on Bupro for about a month now. It definitely has helped my night and day sweats tremendously. Only on .3 mg and think if this dosage does not work completely will ask for a little more. Thought if I had to sweat like this the rest of my life, it would be very short. Just could not stand the drastic temperature change in my body. It has been my life saver so far!

Recently went from taking Celexa to Wellbutrin 300 mg. I have been on the Wellbutrin for about 2 months now, and i continue to have side affects, such as feeling scared and frightened (especially at night), dizziness, or swmimmy headed. I have taken lower dosage before and did nto experience these side effects. I am going to call my dr today and talk to him about this.

Taking Wellbutrin XL Oral--I am experiencing extreme fatigue and muscular aches/pain. My body does not feel right. It has not made me happy yet. Or given me more energy.

I had very good results using this medication,Im feeling much more myself. Iv triend many types of antidepressive drugs in the pasy,with no relief.

i was on wellbutrin 100mg bc of mood swings for 1 month before my dr increased my dose to 150mg. i read into all side effects listed on webmed like i do with all meds. webmd states siezures as a rare sife effect with wellbutrin. i had been on 150mg for less than 1 month when i took my 9month old son to see my parents. i had been there for about 15mins when i fell out and had a convolsive siezure. luckly i was not driving/alone/holding my child. my dr did reseach and found out that in fact 1 out of every 1000 people have siezures while on wellbutrin. i then spoke with coworkers & found additional people i knew that wellbutrin caused siezures with. turns out siezures are not as rare of a side effect that they make it seem. again my dr found that every 1 in 1000 people wellbutrin causes siezures in. Up side... I have tried many other medications and had ether bad side effects, weight gain or they just did not work. This drug dose help with my depression and the side effects I feel are easy to live with. My suicide thoughts are not as strong and they do not come as often. Down side...At times I have too much irritation and my sex drive has increased too much.

The Brand Wellbutrin XL 300 mg works very well for me, with Lamictal 200 mg and ongoing psychotherapy. It stabilizes my mood swings effectively. However, my insurance company decided to switch me to generic form of Wellbutrin. I assumed it was working for me until I hit bottom and was so out of control I didn't know what to do. I wasn't in therapy at the time. My GP was continuing the prescriptions and follow up with me after I moved away from my therapist. My GP recognized that I was in trouble during a routine exam and sent me immediately to a therapist she highly recommended. This therapist works closely with a psychiatrist that I am now seeing. She recognized that the problem was the generic form of Wellbutrin (I wasn't taking Lamictal at that time). I read several reviews by patients experiencing the same problem, with the same symptoms, which I found on the internet. I owe my life to these doctors for recognizing the problem and switching me back to Brand Wellbutrin XL. My insurance company still won't cover the Brand but insists on the generic even though my doctors have explained the problem and insisted that I take the Brand name drug. I have to pay full price for Wellbutrin or suffer the dire consequences. I have now ordered the drug from a reputable pharmacy in Canada at a lower price.Read More Read Less

does medication have any effect on sex drive

I experienced some side-effects when I first started using wellbutrin XL (inability to sleep, vivid dreams, headaches) which subsided within three days. My depression lifted, I was energetic, sleeping well, and lost weight. It seemed like the miracle drug. Three weeks into taking the medication, I realized that my memory was lapsing (I have always had an exceptional memory). Yesterday, I walked out of the supermarket without paying something, for I forgot that I was holding it in my hands. Thankfully, I was not accused of shoplifting. My Dr. has prescribed the SR version and am now up to 450mg a day. Can anyone tell me if the following is ok?: He says I should take it all at the same time, in the morning, because it's the SR version.

I owe my life to this medication. I tried everything under the sun to help my severe anxiety disorder and once I found this, my life has changed for the best. I can do my daily activities without wanting to stay in bed and worry about missing the things I needed to stay in for. I handle my emotions better and do not constantly stress myself over the littlest things. This medication is my life saver! TRY IT! Only side effect was nausea for the first month or so....but it was worth it! And if you forget a dose, it is not the end of the world. Just take it the next day as scheduled! I have been on this medication for ten years. I am starting to experience some effects that I am curious if other users are having such as severe headaches, involuntary muscle spasms. I need to find out if these are common or if there are other possible underlying causes. this medication has worked very well for me I am very concerned about long term effects.

I took two weeks of Wellbutrin XL 150 mg. I felt fine. Exceept at the end od two weeks I developed persistent tinnitus. I stopped taking it immediately. However it has been three weeks, my tinnitus has not stopped. Some time I got so tensed that I had to take Xanax to get through the day. Will my tinnitus ever go away. I regret so much for trying Wellbutrin.

Wellbutrin has been a saving grace for me. The only problem is that i feel like it loses it's effectiveness over long term use...

I love Wellbutrin. It is the only antidepressant that has helped. All the others made me feel very tired. I take 450 mg. a day, so it was also very easy to quit smoking. I love the energy level I now have.I feel so normal now :)

I have been on Wellbutrin XL 150 mg for over a year and before I took it my anti-depressants just weren't cutting it, Wellbutrin is the extra kick I need, added onto my other medications.

What are the side effects of this medication. My mother recently started taking it and she is having sympstoms of hallucinations, loss of memory, drowsiness. I don't know if this is the result of the medication?

well i have been taking wellbutrin for awhile now and i am very satisfied with it because i can get up in the morning and go out and enjoy being around my friends andeven in public places without having a flair up,plus i dont have to distant my self from my friends and my love ones anymore iam enjoying life,for me this is the best medication i have been happy with.
