I no longer experienced depression, but my panic attacks became more severe and extremely frequent. It got to the point where I was afraid to go outside. This medicine also caused me to gain weight and have bad nausea - I will never take it again.

Caused severe panic attacks (shortness of breath, slurred speech, tremble inside & out). Also no control of emotions (extreme hostility, crying, tension. Felt like I was wired up all the time.

Works well as long as I get the branded medication. Insurance company has switched me twice to the generic and both times I had side effects, including anxiety and night sweats.

Only been taking it for a couple weeks. Not crazy about the side effects. Dizzy, sweating at night then I get cold and start shaking. Crying more. Do these go away after a while?

Been on Wellbutrin XL for several years with a short period of time when my insurance woudn't pay for the brand name and only Bupropion. That did not work AT ALL. Completely different exprience. After a divorce, losing both parents (within 7 months) and the recent loss of both my dogs, Wellbutrin just doesn't seem to be effective anymore. My doc tried adding different medications along with it, but weird side effects (from the newer additions) have kept me on Wellbutrin. I'm ready for a change as I think this has lost some effectivness. Overall, no real side effects with Wellbutrin XL except for losing a few pounds, but nothing major. i did not like this medication. after 2 weeks i got extreme anxiety, dizziness, fast heart beat. it scared me a lot , however my cravings for smoking diminished

I have been o this med for 2 weeks. I have lost 10lbs. Dr. perscribed med for depression & anxiety due to separation from my husband. It does relieve anxiety but for abour 3 days now I have had shortness of breath at nite time. It's like I can't catch a complete breath.

I have been taking this drug for a short time . I am also taking Abilify . I still feel hopeless and worthless There is only certain meds that I can take because I have Hepatitis C Is there any medication that will boost my self worth and give me energy ? I know thats like asking for a miracle ! I am tired all the time and have no selfworth PLEASE give me some insight

i AM TAKING THIS DRUG TO HELP ME STOP SMOKING. iT HAS HELPED ME TO CUT BACK ON CIGERETTES, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO QUIT. bUT, I HAVE TO SAY IT HAS ENORMOUSLY HELPED ME IN AREAS I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS. iT HAS HELPED MY CONCENTRATION ALOT AND HAS MADE ME CALMER, NOT AS EASILY STRESSED.

Dr started me on the medication for my depression, and informed me to call/return to the office if I had any uncomfortable side effects. Well I read over the side effects: weight loss- I am hungry all the time!! I think I gained 3 pounds and I’ve only been on it a week. Constipation- I more regular then I have ever been. Trouble Sleeping- I have the best sleep since I stated taking it. Now I do have the dry mouth, strange taste in the mouth, but that’s all taken care of with a piece of gum.So are these considered uncomfortable, I dont know. I am taking the generic version, so as for the depression, I feel mellow and calm while at work. But when I get home, I feel like I took a energy shot. Have been taking this medicine for a month and it has been GREAT!!! No more depression, no more migrains, I am overall a VERY HAPPY person!! This medicine has saved me. I am taking the generic version 150 mg twice a day.

I feel better when I take it and have taken it off and on for several years. The 2 things I dont like is the constipation and it seems like the ringing in my ears is worse when I take it

Had nausea,weight loss (3 lbs) in two months.Insomnia. started having severe leg/feet pain and all over stiffness.Had trouble going up and down stairs and doing everyday chores due to stiffness and pain. Possible NMS which can be fatal, called doctor he said to stop taking.

19 yrs, bulimia, bipolar 2. not sure why my doc prescribed this, bcuz i meet a lot of the contraidictions. however overall pleased. Pros: has decreased cravings, allowed me to stop and think before i do impulsive self-destructive behaviors (SBDs), reduced All-or-Nothing (AON)thinking with bingeing, reduces bingeing (best thing ever)also reduced depressive episodes gets rid of hopelessness feeling. OH AND INCREASES SEX DRIVE FROM BASICALLY ZERO TO A LOT. Cons: nausea, shaky hands, dry mouth for a week. Makes me manic a lot more- get angry and very hyper during the episodes. i stopped taking it for this reason for 3 days and became very dpressed. hopelessness, called suicide hotline (never been like this before) altho my life ssucks rite now so that was part of it. went back on it and the mania has lessened. this drug also decreased my alcohol tolerance from low to basically zero- ystrday i got drunk off of half a bottle of beer, felt dizzier than usual. im pretty sure im not supposed to be drinking with all the meds im on (increased seizure risk) but im in college so thats not going to happen, you should probably talk to your doc about this. overall i like this drug i have been trying to get it for years bcuz of the weightloss potential. im taking 2 other psychotropic meds so that may affect results. I use this treatment to manage my Bipolar and Depression and find it to be very helpful. My depression has significantly improved.
