Before this medication I was absolutley a mess. I was crying almost everyday, on my days off from work I would lay on the couch and would not get up all day. I had stopped going out with friends, gained over 30 lbs, and overall just didn't care about anything. I decided it was time to take action and as much as I thought, oh this is a phase and I will snap out of it, I realized I couldn't do it on...
My 19 year old daughter starting taking this medication Dec. 18 to treat for clinical depression. On Jan 16, she overdosed on the wellbutrin. Her behavior and mood since she started taking wellbutrin has gone downhill. She survived the overdose but had many seizures. She is now in a psych ward under a 14 day hold.

felt the difference within the first couple weeks and let me tell was pleasant! I went from bad to great. But lately i've notice i want to kill everyone! My partner and I never fought, never doubted each other and always loved on each other. After taking this we were fighting constantly, I seem to be constiantly angry I didn't want anything to do with him or, work or even the house. I have no amotions except anger. All I can say is I hope that if you try this then expect the worse, hope for the best! Read More Read Less

I have been on WellbutrinXL for several years. It is the only drug that did not make me sleepy or give me a headache like the class of SSRI'S(Prozac). My Dr added Topamax for some compulvice issues. They are resolved but I am congested all the time. Has anyone had this problem with Wellbutrin alone or/and with Topamax added.

I took this med for 10 days. Experienced extermine nausea, diarrhea, sweats and chills, general feeling miserable. I have been off it for 2 days still have nausea, and a terrible headache. When will this end?

Been on this for about 9 weeks. Take 150mg in the morning. From the beginning this medication made it impossible for me to fall asleep at night. My Clonazepam was increased which just makes it harder to get up in the morning. My moods were better, my sex drive increased but I have gained 3 pounds(no change in appetite) and after several doctor visits, MRI's and a final visit to a neurologist I was told to discontinue this after nearly passing out when driving. It feels as though I am in a fog and everything around me is twirling...and this comes on suddenly. Hoping it is not the medication as it has done wonders for me.Read More Read Less

Just started this medication today and had to call my doctor to stop it. Headache, muscle pain, joint pain, rash and itchy skin. Not fun. The effects on my adhd lasted for maybe 1 hour and a half. YUCK

When I first start taking this medication (given the generic) I noticed I was very nauseous, but my DR told me to expect that and it did disappear over time. Overall, I noticed a huge improvement in my mood, my energy level had extremely increased, and my appetite decreased. However, anxiety hasn't completed disappeared. While I use to have an anxiety attack, and then feel better once it passed- I now am in the lingering "is it coming? When is it going to come" panic feeling. Also, I believe this pill is mixing with my menstrual cycle. I would experience the normal/moderate emotional stage, however since I starting taking this I've become a hysteric, crying women for 5 days a month. Also, when I take stand pain relievers, it makes me extremely dizzy and makes my brain feel hot (only way to describe it).Read More Read Less

I finally had the talk with my Doc about depression, I was angry all the time and didn't know why. I had previously tried Zoloft but had to discontinue due to the side effects. After about three weeks, it seems the black cloud of depression has lifted. I have the excessive sweating side effect but it's ok. A positive side effect is that it has increased my sex drive by about 500%, so that is a plus. I am only on the 150 Mg dose, once per day, but don't know if it needs to be increased or not.Read More Read Less

I have been trying to get off Wellbutrin for over 2 years due to its ineffectiveness as well as inconvenience. I feel as if I can not do anything I want to without worrying about this stupid pill. And I tried getting off of it once last year and ended up having a siezure(which had never happened prior to that one time)..then getting put right back on it. I would never recommend anyone getting put on this medication. It's terrible.

It has helped my conditions of adhd, smoking cessation, and my trauma induced depression. I feel better, and getting out of bed no longer seems pointless.

I have been on this medicine for three years. My dentist has recently put me on Vicodin.. I have had no energy and feel more depressed than ever more. I think it could be the mix of the two. Last few years, I was doing very good with exercising and have had lots of energy..I would recommend this drug if you don't take anything else unless your doctor recommends it..

I have severe depression and I find this medicine very useful. I hope the excellent results continue in the future. There are very few side effects and I like the medicine.

Gave me good control but effectiveness diminished with time. Caused hypermetabolism of local anaesthetics. Had to discontinue due to development of familial tremor syndrome.

I've been on Wellbrutrin XL just over 6 mo's. It has hardly any effect on my smoking neither have the patches. I've just completed step 3 of the patches & my Wellbrutrin XL was increased from 150Mg to 300.I have COPD quiting smoking is a real challenge. I will say the Wellbutrin XL has helped with the deppression of quiting smoking.

I have been taking this med for three months now for anxiety/panic attacks, fibromyalgia, and neuropathy. It has helped me tremendously. I experienced few side effects. I tried Savella and Cymbalta before and had a horrible experience with both! I would recommend this med to anyone.
