3rd week of using Subutex to treat pill addiction. Overall, it has been a pretty good experience. I'm using it along with other prescribed meds to help with withdrawl/sleep difficulty.

Subutex has helped me through the withdrawal period of my severe 8 year addiction to dehydracodiene, I started on 2ml 1st day and 4 ml 2nd day and every 6 days I dropped 0.4 micro grames until I was on nothing, I then took a blocker tablet for a few weeks incase of relapse. I have sucessfully beaten the addiction and will never turn back thanks to subutex, so thanks to whoever invented it , Gordon Martin age 26 Northern Ireland.

I do not have addiction issues but was given this medication as treatment for chronic pain. It did take away pain, but it caused severe and traumatic side effects. If I didn't nearly die, I was wishing I were for the two weeks that I took it. I think this is a very powerful (and, in my case, toxic) medication and that it should only be used under the most desperate of circumstances. Know ahead of time that severe physical reactions, as well as mood and psychiatic changes are possible. I would only recommend this drug as an absoute last resort for someone. Try everything else first. My reaction to this medication was so severe I am making a report to the FDA.Read More Read Less

I tried this before I went to Suboxone. This absolutley did not work for me. It made me so sick, I threw up for 24 hours after stopping it, majorly had a head ache and dizziness. This was terrible. But, if it doesn't work, try Suboxone.

I have been on opiates for nearly 8yrs.I suffer from chronic back pain.Living with pain has become a normality.Subutex has made it possible for me to have a life.I no longer need morphine or any other narcotic to get through a day.Ive been free of dope since 02/19/08 and Im actually enjoying life.I have not expierianced any side effects.SUBUTEX IS WONDERFUL. TO the person having a hard time getting subutex you need to go to a detox program before a DR will perscibe it.Hope this helps.

After eating pills, snorting pills, shooting up pills, and taking duragesic patches, eating them as well, this is my savior. It all started with a vicodin like so many of us innocently, mine for a chronic back pain due to spinal cord issue. Doctors prescribe stronger medicines you want stronger medicines and you can't stop then. This treats my pain and I have had no desire to use for three years now. I wonder what the long term effects of this drug are. I don't think there have been too many studies, but it came me my life back so i can deal with the repercussions. Because my alternative was death at the end.Read More Read Less

when i first tried subutex it made me feel a little "high" i originaly began taking on opiates to control back and neck pain. and i had already tried suboxone because i nolonger wanted to be on opiates. but with the suboxone my neck and back began to feel as it did before i took opiates which then made me go back to them then i heard of subutex sl i swaer to you this is a miricale drug i took it had no withdrawal symptoms, also no neck or back pain. unfortunately no therapist or doctor under the sun will give it to me. i still have no clue why because they usually prescribe it to pregnant women, with their barely developed children so why not me i am not pregnant, iwant to stop my painkillers, also it works for me? does anyone have a clue??Read More Read Less

Life saver for me too! The ability to STOP COLD TURKEY from 80mg of Oxycontin and 80 mg of Percoct every day is AMAZING!! I NEVER ever thought about my next pill! I NEVER even THOUGHT about it!! A blessing to be sure. I have been Drug free since the first dose. I am on 8 mg twice a day and my chronic knee pain that got me hooked on pain killers has become non existent since Suboxone. Great miracle cure for addiction. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! See your Doctor at once for this Miracle drug!! Peace.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this med for two reasons. First, to get off Vicodin. I was becoming a big problem for me. Second, for pain management. After 2 spinal surgeries I am still in pain. Subutex helps alot and I don't get those wacked out feelings of heavy narcotic use.

I agree with almost all these reviews. This drug has saved my life. Living with chronic pain has been bearable now, and I don't have to order pain meds online anymore. I was using 40mg of Norco 4 to 6 times per day for almost two years! Subutex has taken away cravings, made pain bearable and has allowed me to work again. Thanks.

This is the mirical drug. After 5 years of oxycotin with the last 6 months of over 200mg a day, I thought I would never be able to get off the oxycotin, I tried so many times it was not funny. This drug works wonders, if you really want to get your life back, you have to ask your DR. about this med.

This medication is a miracle. After 17 years of dependence of opiate medication, I was able to easily and effectively end my addiction without the hideous side effect (anxiety, leg pain, irritability, etc.) that had plagued me past attempts. With the careful counsel of my physician and therapists,I can happily say that my drug abuse is over and that I am free of opiate adiction.
