Anal Fissure. So painful I have passed out from the pain. I've nearly chopped my finger off. That hurt, I went into shock. This was also serious pain. 2% Xylocaine gel after using the toilet. I am finding ineffective. Though better than nothing, I wish it was 5%. First of all the applicator tube is useless. It becomes dirty, and very hard to clean properly. I end up spilling gel. I have trouble putting it inside me, without it coming right back out. I just started using my finger. I can actually coat my insides. It still "leaks" though the day. It basically brings the pain from an 8/10 down to a 6/10. I can hobble up the stairs. Increased motion without pain. Once the pain hits. It's really bad. From my knees to just above my navel have become numb/tingley from the pain. I go into shock and can't feel anything. I'm still basically bed-ridden. Waiting for the actual Anal fissure gel to take effect. I even left a dab of Xylocaine on the back of my hand to see if it would numb at all. It didn't. Though internal use is different from external. You might want to ask your Dr. if you find 2% weak. It also cost a fair amount of money, for such a small tube. I developed the fissure because of chronic diarrhea. Also, never take a laxative, in hopes of 1 trip to the bathroom, instead of 5. It made things way worse for me. Gorey to say the least.Read More Read Less

This stuff is wonderful!! It is basically like vasoline with lidocaine in it. Goes on thick; penetrates slowly; and stays there a really long time. My doctor prescribes it for my neck pain (I have Degenerative disc and Osteoarthritis). It also helps reduce the pain when one of the nerves in my neck gets pinched.
