Percocet goes straight to my pain and I have sever chronic pain! It does not make me dizzy or nauseated. I HAVE NO side effects and do not feel I need to take more than needed. One would know if you take too much because you would get dizzy or euphoric. Any pain medication that you feel any euphoria, in my opinion, has addictive properties. When Percocet 5/325 or a 10/325 cut in half, relieves m...
I was prescribed Percocet/Oxcodone following my GYN surgery. It had not effect on my pain, just made me sleep for 2 hours. I know several people who have been prescribed this drug and have the same comments. When I called my doctor's office after no relief from the pain, the nurse stated the drug was only meant to 'sedate' me not to relieve the pain. I remember the post-op nurse saying the same...

I've tried many many pain relievers for my back, 3 hip replacements, total knee replacement and after 24 years in the US Military, I have pain every where. This is the only one that works for me and I had liquid morphine while in the hospital that didn't work as good as this does for me. I call it "My miracle drug".

I have taken this for years....5 a day...now because of the government launched opiate crisis it's getting so hard to receive. All kinds of hoops. The only reason there's an opiate crisis is because of the ACA. When you add about 25 million Medicaid/Welfare recipients to the pharma roles you get lots of people on narcotics. Ridiculous that people who've taken this drug for years now must crawl for medication !

I've had 4 back surgeries and this drug just lets me live a life, without it I would have no life. It doesn't take away all of the pain, but its just a quality of life issue for me.

This is a great drug for pain but I don't use it for more than a few days. I still have pills left over from my one bottle of 50 I got several years ago after prostate surgery. Although the drug didn't remove the pain completely after surgery, it took the edge off from where my eyes were popping out of my head to definitely bearable. I used this again a few days ago after a painful shoulder sprain. At night the pain was very bad and continuous and it was impossible to sleep. I took one 5mg/325 pill in bed for two nights in a row and after about 20 minutes it just turned the shoulder pain off and I was able to sleep pain free for 6 hours both nights. Last night I did without the pill and it took a couple of hours to go to sleep, but it was bearable without the pill. Like others, this pill did make me drowsy and sleepy the next day. One thing I haven't seen mentioned, that the pill does to me is that it gives me night sweats. The first night I woke up drenched in sweat every couple of hours and had to change my underwear 3 times. The second night with the pill, the same. My underwear, pillow and sheets were drenched in sweat. Last night I didn't use the pill and still experienced cold sweats in the morning, in bed, and a few hours after rising. But not nearly as bad as the two previous nights. I guess it takes more than a day for it to leave your system. But if you have unrelenting bad pain, this pill works. I just use it sparingly.Read More Read Less

I have pain all over mostly in my joints. I've been taking this 10-325 mg for about 5 years now and I call it "my wonder drug". I've had 3 hip replacements and a total knee replaced. I've tried morphine in my IV after the surgery, no good, I've tried many many other meds to try and control my pain and I "always" come back to this one. My pain gets to the point that I have difficultly walking with a cane. 25-30 minutes after taking this med, I'm up and moving without the need of a cane. It still amazes me how well this works for "me". Everybody's chemistry is different and I believe my chem works with this med perfectly.Read More Read Less

This was prescribed to me after I got my wisdom teeth removed. It works pretty fast (12-20 minutes) and has taken almost all of my pain away. However it makes me a little loopy and very sleepy.

Does the job for the back pain I've suffered with for years. No real side effects as long as you take as prescribed. A bit more makes me drifty and I tend to daydream.

I have recently had a laparoscopy for on ovarian cyst. This pain killer was prescribed to me for recovery. Within a day of repeated use I began to break out in a super crazy rash all over my abdomen. It was super uncomfortable and only made my recovery more uncomfortable and mentally straining.

I have been taking this for nerve impingement in lower back. Does not take pain away completely and only lasts 2 hours. I do not recommend this drug for moderate to severe pain.
