I'm a veteran diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. During a s severe period of hypervigilance and insomnia I was hospitalized at the VA and prescribed this medication to help me sleep. It worked and I slept for nearly 30 hours. I take 50mg as needed for sleep and anxiety/panic attacks. It also helps with my congestive heart failure allowing me to use less lorazepam. The only drawback for...

I was wired out on too much seratonin(antidepression meds). Dr. prescribed this to help me get some sleep. 50mg wiped me out, had to lower dose to 25mg just to function the next day. Worked very well for me.

I just had surgery for a torn rotator cuff and the pain meds were making me either throw up or feel like I was going to. My doctor prescribed this for me to take with the pain meds and I have not thrown up since (3 days ago). The downside is that together with the pain medicine, the combo knocks me out so I can't really do anything except sleep for several hours.

welts on all body parts when scratched lasting anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes & extremely itchy where welting occurred. After taken this med, I have stopped itching and no welting has followed. I am very pleased w/this med and recommend it to STOP WELTING & THE ITCHING that follows after scratching any part of the body. Results w/me have started just 2-3 days after starting this med!

I had surgery and the pain medication made me very nausious and caused vomiting. My Dr. perscribed this medication to calm the symptoms. I only had to take 4 25 mg capsules in a day and I didn't have any ,more problems.

I was prescribed hydroxyzine to take when having anxiety attacks. I tried 25mg, then 50mg, 75mg, then finally 100mg and it has no effect on me. Would not suggest it for anxiety. Good news, my nose cleared up after i took it!

I have a skin condition that makes me break out when I sweat and the itching gets so bad I can hardly sleep. This works to help me sleep but it's still not good enough to where I can sleep all night with out waking up scratching.

I am on this medication and it does not work. It seems we treat animals better then we treat people when it comes to pain control. In todays world no one should have to live in pain we are all in this together so lets wake UP. We must treat ones condtion with the correct medication, lets STOP playing games with peoples lives.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed 25mg of this medication every 4-6 hours along with Prevacid during a very stressful time. I had become so nauseated from stress that I began vomitting and could not eat or keep much down when I did eat. I didn't think it would work, but with the slight calming effect it has, along with its ability to help with nausea, I was feeling almost normal within 48 hours. I was able to only take one or two a day at this point and still feel much better. I am sure the prevacid helped too, but since I have taken all kinds of acid reflux meds before, I think the hydroxyzine pam was the most helpful for the nausea. During the day it was tough because it can cause slight dry mouth and make you a little drowsy, but at night it was great because it helped me to sleep.Read More Read Less
