Makes me very tired at 25 mg but does nothing for the anxiety/panic attacks I experience daily. Had been taken Clonazepam at 1 mg twice a day and for the most part I could deal with my anxiety issue.

I had a severe eczema out break. It really helped with the itch.

I took this for anxiety and to help me sleep. So far it has been very effective.

I started this medication at 25 mg to take when needed with lexapro. I must say every time i take Hydroxyzine it makes me happy, relaxed, very positive and solcialable. However beware if you dont like feeling extremely relaxed all the time this drug is probably not for you.

I can only say this for myself but this has beem a true wonder drug!! I went to vegas and came home with severe rashes all over my buddy and it helped quit itching my arms and back so I could get through my wedding. Also a few months later I developed severe panic attacks at night and couldn't sleep and one night I woke up full panic and had to go to the ER cause o began to vomit, shake, cry from the panic attack. Awesome ER doc recommended this and said it will help for nausea, anxiety and to sleep ... I've never been so thankful to finally sleep so I can actually pay attention in college classes now. A sleep doctor at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center prescribed this for me as a sleep aid. Absolutely worthless. Has no affect what so ever.

I'm a veteran diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. During a s severe period of hypervigilance and insomnia I was hospitalized at the VA and prescribed this medication to help me sleep. It worked and I slept for nearly 30 hours. I take 50mg as needed for sleep and anxiety/panic attacks. It also helps with my congestive heart failure allowing me to use less lorazepam. Miracle pill for me. Cut right through the anxiety. Just using as a one-time as needed solution.

Was stung by a yellow jacket. this was prescribed by my Dr. for the itching. Didn't work for me at all.

After being to 3 doctors for insomnia my doctor gave me this prescription. I sleep through the night or if I wake up a couple of times, I can just go back to sleep. I feel drowsy occasionally during the day but only when driving. I've had one night mare but not disturbing enough to quit the Rx. I say that it is excellent for insomnia and only take it at bedtime. Maybe taking it during the day for anxiety is a bad idea?

I cannot even be in the heat I will get very sick and when I come in I can't get my body temperature down heat stroke just like that I have been onthis for a year now,found out this CRAP causes sense nativity to heat even when it's only in the 80's look up what mess can cause hear stroke and heat exhaustion anything with antihistamine in can cause the heat problem

My Dr at the VA decided to prescribe this instead of my 5mg xanex. 100 mg a day of this crap! It is horrible! My daughter said I looked like a true crazy person. My eyes can't focus, My stomach hurts all of the time, I have cramps in my legs, I can't catch my breath, Nightmares every night! My blood pressure is higher, not to mention that my anxiety is worst. I am just one big raw nerve. Everything irritates me. I'm done with this so called "medication".

This 'stuff' is absolutely the most wretched 'medicine' (and I use the term loosely) I have ever been on! I have had about every adverse reaction there is to have and I am so furious with my Dr. I could almost scream... What is this thing now that doctors have stopped anxiety meds and replaced them with this junk anyway? Unexplained breakout of hives for almost 15 yrs; took Benedryl and attempted to calm mind, body and spirit; thought it was all in my head! Feeling so out of control and not understanding the reason for massive welts all over my body. Saw episode of The Doctors on TV, Vicki Lawrence sharing her issues with breakout of hives!. I felt so much relief, someone else was experiencing my symptoms and feelings. And I'd spoken of this issue with Doctor many times; his suggestions of visit to psychologist, someone to talk to. I am already seeing professionals and have active support group. Was prescribed Hydroxyzine and this last episode of sudden onset of hives, I took only one 25mg capsule. I laid down and calmed myself. Resting and allowing my mind to clear, within several hours the hives were gone. I do not take this medication every day, only when the hives occur. Didn't work

I would not recommend this medication to anyone!! I only took it once and that was already too much. I took it right before going to sleep. (my psychiatrist prescribed it to help with sleep). I woke up very early in the morning with stomach cramps and upset stomachs and after I woke I could not get comfortable again; I tossed and turned the remainder of the night. I thought everything would be fine in the morning and it just got worse. My stomach got a little better but overall I was not normal. I felt like I was so out of it and my concentration was even worse than it normally is. I almost felt like I had all of the bad side affects of taking acid or molly. My vision did not get too blurry but it definitely was not normal. I skipped taking the pill last night. Today, I have the worst anxiety.
