I had rotator cuff surgery and after a month and a half of therapy I had gone back to the Dr. for a check up and told him I had been experiencing internal joint pain, and with Advil the pain would ease up so my Dr. prescribed Nabumetone so it wouldn't be as harsh on the stomach from extended use. It relieved the pain by 90% so it made movement much easier. I did notice after an extended period of ...

I had a severe allergic reaction to this medication. I was supposed to take two pills/day but was only taking one/day. While taking one/day I started experiencing several side effects but didn't realize it was the medication. I was having stomach pains, chest pains and pains in my left arm that resulted in my going to the ER and undergoing three days of testing to my heart, which turned out ok. I...

The medicine worked wonderfully at first, with less effectiveness after 5 months. Now I have headaches and blurred vision after taking it and have had to stop. Don't know what I'm going to do for pain now.

I've taken this medication for one week, and can't believe how much better I feel. I don't experience any bad effects.

this medication was given to me by a unprofessional doctor. She doesn't care what you take. I am 72 years old and have high blood press.,acid reflux, and had open heart surgery just 3 years ago. I should not take this medication!!!!!! This doctor was aware of the above conditions...

It relieved the pain by 90% so it made movement much easier. I did notice after an extended period of time (over 3 weeks use 750mg 2/day)I was getting dizzy spells in the mornings getting out of bed or sitting up from a laying position or quick turns of my head I would get a 5 to 10 second dizzy spell. I have since finished therapy and stopped taking Nabumetone on a regular basis and only take it when needed and it is working well for me now with no dizziness. I would recommend taking it for pain relief from inflammation/arthritis just be aware of possible side affects. Read More Read Less

I hurt my back a week ago and my doctor said I have a pinched nerve. He gave me nabumetone and to take it twice a day for 10 days. I have been taking this medicine for a week now and it has not helped at all.

Satisfied my arm reacted and pain lessened. Unknown etiology of right extreme arm and shoulder and into fingers pain as I woke up with this. Started on this and Flexeril. I was instantly sick. They nocked me out, could NOT stay awake. Was zombie and dizzy like. I did expect this as I am a dizzy and nausea person on any meds. But, this one gave me reflux and stomach severe pain/cramps, chills and fever, and headache and I took the two with food. I was fine before the blasted meds! JUST HAD ARM PAIN! Now, 3 days later I have got nothing done but sleep or be in the bathroom day and night! I think it worked as arm is improving, but I could never work with this med! I though it was gonna make me need stool and sink and I was praying! I do believe no food may have worked better as I HAD TO EMPTY my whole system to finally rest at daybreak on third evening! Yuk! I only took the nabumetone on the second day and it was as bad as first two and last night was hell! I am not taking any pills today, and am still nausea from two small amounts of food yesterday. Not working! Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this for lumbar radiculopathy in my left leg. After a few days the pain was completely gone. I was suspicious that perhaps I was just getting better on my own, but every time I stop taking it the symptoms come back. I'm going to have to stop eventually, though, because I have high blood pressure. :-(

I was also having constant headaches the whole time I was taking the medication, as well as stomach pains. The medication did help with the pain in my back and ankle (I was in an accident and got banged up pretty bad, shattering my leg and ankle, and injuring my back). However, my problems escalated when I started taking two pills/day. I started off getting a sore throat and my throat felt swollen and hard. I was getting bad heartburn in my upper chest. After three days of taking two pills/day, I began itching uncontrollably all over my body; I developed welts and hives all over my buttocks, arms, scalp and neck. My lips began burning later that day as if I I had really badly chapped lips. I called the advice nurse for help and while on the phone with her, my lips began to get very swollen. I was advised to go immediately to the ER. By the time I got there I was having trouble swallowing. So they gave me an epi-pen as well as three intravenous drugs, including Benadryl. That was four days ago and I'm still having headaches, heartburn, chest pains, mild itching and sore throat. I've been taking prednisone and benadryl every day. My doctor prescribed this drug to me because I'm allergic to Naproxen.Read More Read Less

It worked great for years to treat sciatica pain. Now it's not nearly as effective, and I'm having to take additional Rx meds.

I'm a 48 year old female. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 12 years ago. Since then I've had problems with early osteoarthritis. Recently, my left hip flared up with daily building pain within 3 months affecting my sleep and daily activities to the point of constant jolting pain. The first day I tood this medication I had fantastic relief by that day noon. It has been only 3 days and I cannot belief the pain relief it has provided me.

The medication relieved my pain beautifully, however by the middle of the second month of use I have developed leukopenia with my white blood cells being 2.0 an now I'm waiting to be seen by a hemotologist and see if the damage can be reversed.
