Then my doctor put me on another pill, Klor Con and I noticed the coldness, depression and weight gain, so I told I wanted to go back to the Pot CL ER and I did so starting on 3/05/2012. After about 1 week, I started getting depressed. I was always cold (I live in Fl and I was wearing a sweater in 80 degree weather.) Passing gas was constant, and the worst thing was that I gained 4 lbs between 3/05 and 3/20. I'm sorry but I'll eat a banana and a naked baked potato thank you very much.Read More Read Less

I was given a different shape, color, style of this drug from my pharmacy, without the druggist telling me. I had to look it up here to calm my nerves in case of getting the wrong drug.

WARNING: I used a dose of 180 mEq/d K-Dur to restore my K depletion due to diuretics. Shortly I noticed my HGB dropped by 5 g/L. I discovered that high amounts of chloride ions can displace oxygen attached to hemoglobin in blood (see published research). So I switched to potassium citrate. My HGB at K-Dur doses of less than 80 mEq/d was OK.
