I want to start off by saying this drug is a miracle. I was in a rehab center for two weeks to detox off OxyContin. They gave me this drug expecting me to be off it in two weeks. I relapsed 3 days after i was off this medicine because although the physical withdrawals were not present, the psychological cravings were. Also if you are psychologically dependent on this drug your body will stop produ...
Note that most of the reviews are people still ON this very powerful opiate. Very few get off of it, and those that do usually go through 6-24 months of PAWS. It should be a last resort for the hardest core junkies. It's essentailly methadone. Do your homework before you take this garbage...do yourself a favor and go cold turkey or in patient detox...seriously!!

DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF LONG-TERM SIDE EFFECTS? I WAS ON PAINPILLS FOR TWO YEARS AND SUBOXONE CURED ME. THE ONLY THING IS THE SIDE EFFECTS I GET ARE SWOLLEN ANKLES AND WHEN I SAY SWOLLEN I MEAN IT. ALSO I GET TIRED IF I AM SITTING IN CHURCH AND IT IS SO EMBARRASSING BECAUSE MY EYES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE ROLLING IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD, LIKE I AM DRUGGED!

I was taking hydrocodone for neck pain and became physically addicted to it. I started on suboxone and immediately felt better. I am afraid to quit taking it now. I've been on it for almost 3 years. I take 4 mgs. a day.

After 18 years on methadone and 3 on all pain pills & heroin I am better but still addicted to an opiate. Also withdrawing from 10 years of 8mgs of xanax a day. Down to 4 mgs but feel the suboxone should be used for 3-6 months before tring to detox the xanax. Very difficult, I don't feel hopeful on beating both. Withdrawal from suboxone without taper is more prolonged than heroin or methadone. Listen to your doctor, h/she wants to help give back your life!

I was surprised how quickly this medicine actually they start you on something called Sub something else, for a few days and then send you home with this. It stopped 2-day long strong narcotic/opiate withdrawals in less than 15 minutes. One small nasty tasting pill under your tongue and instantly you honestly feel well. Not high well, just clear well. I consider this drug for chronic pain sufferers and opiate abusers alike a miracle drug. You feel like you've been given a second chance. Please trust me. If you are tired of "it", you owe it to yourself to try this. You will thank your higher-power I promise. LOVERead More Read Less

Ive been doing wonderful with it for quite a while, but all of the sudden i feel so tired 24/7 that its affecting my life. But now Im afraid to stop taking it because im aware of the effects of going off this med as well. It is a great breakthrough drug, but long term effects suck, im on them for perc/vicodin addiction, and at the end oxycotin.but now i feel horribly lithargic. its a double edge sword, goog luck everyone and be careful.get off them ASAP ( when you feel over the addiction,

I was severely depressed and vicodin made life "better". My doc gave me suboxone 2 days ago, and the effect was immediate. The only thing I truly hate about it is the nasty taste it leaves, but the med DOES WORK, It felt the same as taking the painkillers. This stuff is amazing !!!!

Suboxone completely eliminated the withdrawal symptoms i was experiencing. Before taking the first dose i was sluggish, fatigued, i had the runs, my bones and joints ached, i couldn't focus on the simplest task. Within 15 minutes of putting suboxone tablet under my tongue all of those nasty feelings were gone. i hadn't felt that good for as long i could remmember. I have no cravings for vicodin or percocet i had been taking/abusing for the past 3 years. this is a miracle drug.

This is the night before I begin my Suboxone treatment. I am so excited I cannot sleep. My live has been horrible living on prescribed pain killers. I'd rather have the pain then the addiction. Please pray for me and a successful treatment.

Great for meth addiction to. I told my doctor I was addicted to narcotics and meth. My main addiction was meth, but I tried some oxycontins and I noticed I barely or didn't at times withdraw when I was out of meth. If you think cold turkey is the only way, it's not. If you use this medication you will get off meth or narcotics, believe me I know how it is. I did meth for three years, after starting this treatment I've not touched it since.

Not bad some side effects, the worse is I can not sleep. I am not sure if it is depression, but I have had a tough time doing the things I need to as well as the things I have to do.

besides the meds being quite expensive, they are great! but after 2 weeks of 12mg a day i was running out so i lowered my dosage as i had no money to refill my script. and then i went into withdrawl. which sucked. but i'm back on my reg dose and i feel great..

I was up to 20-25 10-325 norcos a day. I heard about this when I went looking for my next fix at a new docs office. I had had it with just surviving so I gave it a shot. The key is you have to be in withdrawl in order for it to work. At least moderately. That part sucked but the way the symptoms disappeared after the first dose? Amazing. The only problem I am having now is, I am kind of a depressed person. The opiates for the most part made me feel euphoric and happy. Not having that anymore sometimes makes me want to go back and use but all I have to do is look at my kids and that's all smashed. It is a great drug. Expensive though but then again compared to the price I was paying on the street for pills and or scripts. Nothing compares. If you are considering it, do it. You will not be upset. Just make sure you are in withdrawl and have not used for at least 24 hours or it will make you sick. Peace.Read More Read Less

I was/am a methadone addict. This has been a great help in controlling my pain and there was no withdrawal symptoms. Seems to be effective as methadone but the 'high' has been eliminated.
