I really like this medication. I am on my second month and have had no problems, especially because I never forget to take it. It has cleared up my skin significantly and I have definitely not had a decrease in sexual desire. If anything, it's a comfort not having that worry in the back of my mind that I might get pregnant unplanned. I am very satisfied with this birth control. I also highly...

I have been taking this for a couple months. My moods have been really weird. I will get really mad over the littlest things & people around me have noticed. Other than that my breasts have gone up at least 1 size and my acne is basically gone after the first month of taking it.

I have been taking Mononessa for three months and still have terrible breast tenderness. My breasts are so tender it hurts to touch and sometime even my bra makes them hurt. Not only that but around the beginning of the third pack my emotions went crazy. I cry for almost no reason at all and get really angry quickly which I have never had a problem with.

I took this pill due to having extremely long and painful periods and it worked wonders... for about a week. After a week of taking the pill I began to feel extremely ill and vomited every night for about a week after, still taking the pill, however when I stopped taking the pill my symptoms magically left and my period returned worse than before.

I used Mononessa about a year ago and I experienced really bad acne and weight gain. I got pregnant and after giving birth I started using it again and it has worked wonderfully!! I was a little exceptical at first because I thought I was going to go through the same experience but it has been the contrary and I'm very happy with the results.

I was on Yaz for a very long time with no complications. My Dr. switched me to Mononessa due to all the hoop-lah about Yaz and heart faulure. I've been taking Mononessa for about 6 months. In those 6 months I've had a 5-10lb weight gain, horrible acne on my jaw line, and chronic moodiness. I also feel bloated ALL of the time! I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt (my body trying to get used to it.), but I can't take it anymore! I had my Dr. send me out a new Rx today for Trinessa instead! It has lower Norgestimate levels so hopefully that will help me out a bit! This is only MY experience, I hope there are ladies that have better luck with it than I did! My body just does not like it!Read More Read Less

Loved it! Periods went from 13 days to 4, PMDD symptoms went away, and its affordable. Sadly when i changed pharamcies, the new one doesnt carry it. they only have the generic which is Sprintec. Just started it today so i dont if it will be exactly the same yet or not.

I have only been taking this for 3 days and have experienced extreme irritability and headaches. I am not usually an irritable person and it is a extremely uncomfortable for me to be so out of control with my emotions. This is my first experience with an oral contraceptive. I have asked my doctor to try something else. I am hoping I have a better experience with an alternative.

I have been taking this birth control for a year now. I have had great success with it. I've lost weight, my skin has improved dramatically all over, my periods are lighter and less painful, and I haven't had any mood swings. Overall this is the best experience I've had with any birth control and I highly recommend it.

My wife had adverse reations within the first 2 months: Moody, cramps, finally a near-lethal lung clot (embolism), and 7 days in the hospital!! Healthy, active, non-smoker, 45. USE WITH CAUTION!

It's a pretty good medication, I'd recommend it to a friend. But warn them of the emotional side effects it gives for the first month. Easy to take. The print on the pill pack is a little tiny though. Period comes on time when I get to the green pills. Overall good.

I have been on this pill for almost 4 months now and have had great success. I have seen a decrease in acne and premenstrual cramps. My periods are shorter and lighter. The only thing that has happened that could be potentially off-putting is that I gained a few pounds. However it is not enough to really be concerned with.

So far so good! Been on this for a couple years for the treatment of my heavy periods and it has reduced them significantly! I have no side effects and have even been able to lose weight on this drug, which surprised me. I am not SA right now so I can't speak for the effectivness of that aspect, but so far I really like it.

I have changed birth control due to complications and was changed by the ER doctor to Mononessa in November. In January 2010 I received a DVT, in February 2010 I got a blood clot around the PICC line in my left arm while hospitalized again.

I have been taking this for two months now and this is my 16th day on my period and the flow is outrageous. Also now the cramps are beginning to come back. Since i went on this for heaviness and cramping, this is NOT the pill for me.

I have irregular periods so I went to my doctor and she prescribed me Monessa. Right now I am on the 2nd pack. During the first week of both packs, I felt really nauesous and weak. I even threw up a few times. But I called my doctor and she said it was normal and that it will take time to get use to it. Also, I feel just less outgoing and I have a lot of mood swings. Whenever I take this pill, I always have this weird taste in my mouth and my stomach just feels weird. My acne is just going out of control ever since I started taking it which was just a little more than a month ago. I also callled my doctor to ask about this and she said I will see results on my third pack. So right now I'm dealing with severe acne which is pretty much ruining my life. I hate it. It's never been this bad. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. It's just slowly ruining my life. :( I hope this helps! Read More Read Less

I have only been on this BC for two days and I already feel a difference. I have tender breats, I'm feeling depressed and irritable. I have cramps like I am on my period and not mention painful leg cramps. This BC is not for me.

I have only been taking this brand for about a week now and I am still bleeding. I noticed that I get upset easy now, it's just been a few days but my attitude has changed. I feel drained of energy and sleep more than normal. I'll keep taking this brand for a while to see if the benefits kick in. I have had abnormally long periods since I stopped taking a different brand over a year ago. The doctor said after a couple months things should be normal.

Mononessa has been great for birth control but awful for weight gain! I was on mononessa for nine months and gained twenty pounds. Within two weeks of stopping mononessa, I lost all of that weight. I've been taking mononessa again for about six months and again I've gained twenty pounds. After this last pack, I'm stopping and trying something else.
