Thank God I read the reviews after use because I would not have used this product otherwise. I was using an antibiotic for my stomach pains (amoxicillin) and I got a mild yeast infection. Just itchy with a small amount of discharge and slight odor. I used this product on Monday night, I didnt have any burning nor did I become swollen, I did notice that the cottage cheese like discharge came ...

THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE DRUG EVER INVENTED!! I had a minor yeast infection due to antibiotics so I decided to go to Walgreens and purchase this drug which I thought would be better than miconazole which I have used in the past with no issues. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I woke up in the middle of the night, my labia minora swollen to 5x its normal size, itching/burning worse than any yeast infecti...

When the leaflet says that you might experience an increase in itching after use, what they mean is 'the itching will be so intense that you will awaken from a sound sleep wanting to claw off your skin'. Less than 24 hours later, so it's tough to know if it's actually killed anything other than my sleep. But even if it has, I'm going back to the other stuff. This review is for the store-brand version of the 6.5% cream, not the huge-dose ovule.

I took this medicine on a friday morning since I work third shift, and like 22 out of the 25 comments I read, I experienced the same pain, burning, itching. At moments I would feel some relief, but the annoyance would come back. Medication triggered my infection and once I tied the two together I immediately stopped the medicine. On Sunday night I was checking the position of my cervix and once I pulled my finger out there was white clumps of discharge...I was like WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS?? NEVER seen anything like it. It is now Monday afternoon and I am still itching and irritated so I decided to do some searching about the Tioconazole and came across this. Ugh...I am glad that I am not the only one with a negative experience with this treatment. I did not look with a mirror like some, but I noticed that my vagina was swollen when I inserted my finger to check my cervix. I still feel swollen and irritated. I have noticed that after a good shower the symptoms ease up only for the symptoms to come back hours later. Like all the other ladies on here...DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST AND MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT....SPEND THE MONEY FOR SOMETHING BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! I should have listened to the inner voice about not taking this medicine because I bought it about three days before I used it. Should have stuck with instinct.Read More Read Less

I used this medication last night and woke up in the middle of the night with intense itching, burning and throbbing in the area--exponentially worse than any yeast infection I've ever had. My labia minor was swollen and protruding from the labia major. I showered and washed the area thoroughly. I also applied a cortisone cream. It's now the next afternoon, and the swelling has gone down a little bit but I'm still in a lot of pain and now have sores in the entire area. I've never had a drug reaction before this. It's crazy! Don't buy this stuff! Read More Read Less

Everyone is describing painful swollen itching burning- these I found to be the symptoms of the yeast infection itself, present *before* I administered the medication. It has only been twelve hours for me but I am already seeing some relief- especially less burning and itching- and am hopeful for more over the course of the week.

This is only the first day of me taking this medicine but I took it as instructed right before I went to bed. I woke up the this morning, and unlike most of the others commenting the burning wasn't as bad as yesterday. Still some irritation and itchiness that comes a long with it but I'm going to assume thats it doing its job. When I peed this morning I am going to assume that it was the medicine that came out a little and I can only hope it's normal. It says it'll take up to 7 days so I'm not going to jump to any serious conclusions just yet! Good luck to everyone else!Read More Read Less

I read others' reviews and panicked. About 15 minutes after inserting the medication, I used the bathroom to try and "push" some of it out. I now wish I hadn't done that- I did not experience the intense burning/itching/other side effects that others did (note-i had minimal symptoms to begin with). I inserted the medicine around 11:30pm at bedtime and it is now 2pm, next day. Some leakage, using a pantyliner for protection. Absolutely no discomfort. Word to the wise- don't do what i did; i followed others' reviews and panicked, removing some of the medication within 15 minutes of inserting it. Take the medication as instructed and wait it out- the burning is a good thing; the more it burns, the more yeast in your vagina! I say, "burn away! die yeast, die!" this will be my GO TO MEDICATION in the future. Good luck ladies! :) Read More Read Less

DO NOT USE THIS!! I bought this product this morning thinking it would help my mild yeast infection. It instantly gave me a burning sensation and my vulva was so swollen! About 5x the size it should have been. I freaked out and went to the Urgent Care a few hours later and they had to suction the rest of the cream out of me and clean the area. He prescribed me Methylprednisolone steroid pills to help with the intense swelling. I hope it goes down asap! What a nightmare.

I wish I had read the reviews of this drug. The itching and burning was so bad I didn't sleep all night. This morning, I woke up and discovered my vagina was incredibly swollen - not painful to the touch, but nothing like I usually look like. All I can say is the yeast infection had better be gone after this ordeal!

Had a slight yeast infection due to antibiotics, thought I'd go the cheapest route and picked up this product. The horrific swelling and tenderness are so much worse than the infection was on its own! I was up all night. It hurts to walk and it hurts to sit at my desk at work today. I have literally had an ice pack on my vagina for half the day, trying to get some relief.

It has been approx 36hrs since I used this medication and I have no relief whatsoever. Not sure if I'm allergic to this or what, because I had major swelling 'down there' the morning after I used this product. Now I need to research to see what to do next.

I used this produced last night before bed and unlike others I didn't have any pain with it or intense itching. But I did still have the itch that comes with yeast infection. Today the itch has been worse but mainly on the vulva it will drive you nuts. My vulva is a bit swollen and after insertion the cream last night I could feel like a warm feeling along with pulsing and it felt like it was swelling. Again no pain from the cream but more itching today. Hope this helps.

I had a yeast infection for a few days after finishing taking penicillin for strep throat. so i decided to take this medication since i was advised not to take the same medication twice in a row. within hours my labia were swollen, painful, and there was excessive discharge. whitish spots on the labia minora. very very painful and sensitive, the labia minora are protruding from the majora. my vagina has never looked or felt like this. all the symptoms i had from my yeast infection are nowhere near as severe as the side effects of this medication. this is the first day i used the medication. i hope this clears up, i'm really really scared.Read More Read Less

This product immediately caused severe burning and pain that lasted for 8 hours. It was extremely upsetting. I tried to flush it out with a tepid bath and although I'm sure that helped, it is of the consistency of vasolene so it sticks to your skin and would not clear away. This is a terrible product. It's not worth the risk you take of suffering all night.

The immediate severe burning was torture! I immediately tried a bath to get it out but it's greasy and sticks inside like petroleum . It's an awful product.

Used this product before bed, woke up in the morning with an incredible amount of swelling and pain. I usually get about 1-2 YI per year, and I have NEVER had this reaction from a product; I do not recommend use of Tioconazole 1.

The burning is so bad I can hardly walk. In reading the reviews I had the same thing happen. I can't sit, walk, stand or lay down. The pain is so bad. I have never had this happen before with any other medicine.

I normally use monistat 1 or 3 when I have a yeast infection. I decided to try this & save some money. I woke up a couple hours later in pain & found my labia swollen enormously. I tried taking a shower to wash it off & even took benedryl. But today I am still swollen and noticed the skin has torn from the swelling. IT IS HORRIBLE! I do not recommend this product to anyone.
