I've been using Nuvaring for 8 years now and have had no other side effects than going from a C cup to a D cup, but no weight gain anywhere else! It's very effective and no mood swings. And my sex drive is still very much in tact- never been affected. Much lighter periods are a plus (3 days or less), no more pain with periods at all and not having to worry whether I took the pill at the right time...
Well yes, nuvaring will keep your from getting pregnant. It will also make you an emotional basketcase to the point that a guy who claims he loves you "can't handle it" and runs off with an emotionally unavailable slut. Works wonders in preventing babies though.

Overall I have been very satisfied. However, I am noticing changes "inside" such as dryness. The only reason I can think of is the ring ... but I will have an exam to be sure. I have also noticed in the last few weeks that I am having trouble going to sleep at night. I just used Web MD to look up side effects of the ring and I did see that trouble sleeping is on there. Again, I can't say 100% that this can only be attributed to the Ring. Make no mistake, I do NOT want to stop using the ring. I have tried all birth control methods and this one by far has been the easiest to use. The shot blew me up after 2 years; the pills nauseated me no matter which dosage I was put on - eventually I couldn't keep them down at all (I get nauseated just thinking about them); the patch broke my skin out and the adhesive residue was a negative as well. This form of birth control is so easy. Don't have to take a pill, and don't have to worry about long term effects. Sometimes can feel the ring with sex, but most of the time doesn't bother me.

I suffered mild headaches for about 6 wks. now no problem.I love not having to remember to tak a pill.it's in and then it's out.Just have to remember the 3wk rule,but you have the little egg timer.Just don't let your kids play with it or husband! Oh he never even knew it was in. Perfect for us.

I love the Nuva Ring. Unlike the pill ,which most of the time I forgot to take, I remember to take the ring out and to put the new one in a week later. And also unlike the pill (We now have a 3 year old boy who is the biggest joy in our world) I haven't become pregnant while using the Nuva Ring.

I love the ring! I never forget to "take" it, and because it releases hormones continuously, I don't have the ups and downs associated with taking birth control pills.

The ring is convenient and really easy to use. I had trouble remembering to take birth control pills every day, so this was a great option for me.
