dR. GAVE IT TO ME TO PREVENT KIDNEY DAMAGE FROM MEDIA DYES, BUT I ALSO HAD BRONCHITIS AND IT REALLY SHORTENED THE EXPERIENCE.

Was ridiculously hard to find a pharmacy who could obtain it, and even then ordering was delayed further because insurance required pre-authorization (which has never been required for any other scripts before)

the doctor ordered 20 ml , the pharmacy and drug company insisted we purchas 120m ml at a cost of $671.00 We are told to throw away the rest, this is larceny. ended I did not need the drug test could not be done This was shop Rite and Perrigno drug co. Is this stealing or fraud?

MY HUSBAND HAS 1 KIDNEY HE DONATED IN 1985 TO HIS BROTHER, NOW HE IS A 72 YEAR OLD MALE WHENEVER HE NEED'S CONTRSAT FOR TES AS IN HEART CATERAZATION, AND RECECENTLY FOR A CT SCAN OF HIS ABDOMEN THIS IS WHAT THEY USED HE HAD NO REACTION'S AND ALL WENT WELL JUST DRANK A LOT OF WATER AFTER AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO HIS KIDNEY & MUCAMYST WAS USED IN NOV. & THEN AGAIN IN JANUARY WITH MUCH SUCCESS. MY HUSBAND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE TASTE ,BUT SOME PEOPLE MAY NEED TO MIX WITH GATORADE OR JUICE DEPENDING ON THERE OTHER HEALTH CONDITION'S LIKE DIABETES. Read More Read Less

fda doesn't recognize this for kidney treatment in relation to iv contrast injection.

HORRIBLE AFTER TASTE--NAUSEATING

I was also give mucomyst per os to prevent kidney damage due to the need to use lasix as a diuretic causing me to have an elevated creatinine...attempts to wean me from the lasix resulted in my lungs filling andhaving then to be diuresed with IV Lasix. The mucomyst was given by mouth in Juice three times a day. Bun and Creatinine went from elevated to normal.
