I was prescribed med when other meds failed to stop Autoimmune urticaria. It worked within days of starting by stopping hives. Unfortunately, taking it has made me feel miserable otherwise. I have been very tired, my blood pressure has risen considerably, aching in my joints, flushing skin, swollen and tingling hands, and unable to sleep. In the process of weaning off it and hope that hives st...

This medication has worked really well for my psoriasis which has really cleared up. However I have really felt the side effects. Achy body, confusion and hypertension. It has been so bad that i would rather have the skin problems then the side effects of the medication.

As of 11 August I will have my kidney transplant for 22 years--no rejection episodes and I am only taking Cyclosporine--I just went t0 Transplant Clinic last week for my yearly checkup--everything is great...again...However, my left knee is going to see an Orthopaedist because when I first got my "bean" I was on massive doses of prednisone--great drug short term, low doses--bad drug long term, high doses. I was eventually weaned off because of developing Avascular necrosis in my left knee--NOW I find out I can no longer get Cyclosporine from Novartis--I have to get it from Apotex which scares the living you-know-what out of me. Why? This Canadian pharmaceutical company has contracts with Walgreens, Wal-Mart, CVS to distribute their brand of cyclosporine----I'm still waiting to hear back from Novartis. What to do?Read More Read Less

I have severe eczema that has been resistant to other treatments, or will start to get better then flair worse than before. I have only been on it for a couple weeks but I have noticed that I am less itchy which helps open sores heal. I am not completely better but it seems to be helping quite a bit. The side effects I've noticed is feeling sick to my stomach, slight muscle pain, being more tired than usual and the hiccups. The pill form are very large gel caps. I find them slightly hard to swallow.Read More Read Less

I took this drug when I developed aplasticanemia. After 7 months, I am now in remission and I am being weaned off cyclosporine. I experienced excessive hair growth, except on my head, where I need it. I also experience excessive fatigue, and my skin was greasy. And lastly, I urinate an awful lot.

I finally found a drug to relive this terrible psoriasis I have. I am not 100% cleared up but almost there. to this point, I have not had any adverse reacations to the medication. I think it is a Godsend. I do know there are a lot of terrible side effects and my doctor is urging me to stop taking it for a 6 month break.

My wife had a kidney transplant 14 years ago. During that time she has done exceptionally with cyclosporine. Her crantine has dropped and she has maintained a healthy lifestyle. At first she gained a lot of weight, but most all of that weight was gone after her body adjusted to the medicine. We are very happy with the drug. The only downside is that she now has neuropathy in her legs. This problem has caused a lot of pain in her legs. I thank my Creator for the blessing of having my wife for these many years.Read More Read Less

The medication has treated my severe chronic hives but has left my system vulnerable to all other infections. I am unable to be treated for these other infections in the normal manner due to the interactions with the medication.
