I just had my second pneumovax shot about 5 hours ago. The first time, about 5-7 years ago, I had awful upper arm pain for about 3 days. I've had no other problem with any other vaccines including my yearly flu shot. Well, I'm sitting here typing this in incredible pain! This is worse than the first time. I can move my arm, but it's extremely painful to do so. I'm wondering if the nurse did it too...
Severe swelling, pain, redness, radiating around upper arm into axilla. Tenderness in axilla. Fever, chills, nausea. Area affected feels hard. Very uncomfortable reaction. This is day two.

Within 10 hours of administration, I had fever (101), joint and muscle ache, congestion, burning eyes, and soreness to the touch at the injection site.

Agreed to try vaccine for a trial study, but pain is horrible. Can't sleep, can barely dress myself, if anything touches my arm even lightly, the pain is unbearable. I'm also hot, nauseous, and have back/head pain. (day 2)
