I'm now on day 5 of treatment and I am still as sick as I was on day one. After reading other reviews a lot of my symptoms are the side effects that others have had. Hopefuly it starts working soon!

Over the years has done a pretty job of clearing up a prostate infection. No side effects.

rx did what it was suppose to do.....

I used this med to treat only a "simple" UTI... thought it was doing great when my symptoms disappeared after only 2 days, However, I had a ten day regimine (on the 7th day ALL OF THE SUDDEN I almost passed out in line at the bank... acute cold sweats, nausea & dizziness) Sat down, got better, then severe back/muscle pain, Body weakness, tingling, chills then fever etc... I thought I was dying! The pains in my neck/throat/& back of my head was wrenching!! I've never had a side effects to any antibiotic like these... I had a staph infection and it cleared that up, however...I took it for 10 days and by the 8th day I started noticing a red sort of rash that didn't itch at first and I started throwing up, I couldn't even hold down water. I finished taking them knowing how crucial it is to finish your antibiotics. Now its the 11th day and the red rash his pretty much everywhere and it itches. So, probably not gonna be taking this one anymore.

About an hour after taking this medication I experienced a red itchy rash and a stomachache. I discontinued the medication due to fear of a serious allergic reaction. After reading the reviews for the med. I feel like I'm not alone. How could this medicine remain on the market?

I began taking this antibiotic for treatment of acne. About 2 weeks into it, I began getting severe headaches and stopped taking it after about 4 days straight of head-pounding. Then, about a week after stopping the med, I broke out into a horrific rash on my legs, back, hands and feet and also experience some swelling of the face and lips. The itching kept me up for nearly 4 days! It is a shame the side effects were so severe because it was really helping with the acne problem.

About 5 days into it, loss of appetite, severe vomiting, diarrhea, and i developed a rash on my face. Ive had ear infections for years and never been proscribed it before, and will never take it or see that doctor again.

Well I guess compared to the rest of you guys I've been pretty lucky. The only side effects I have had are a slight headache, little bit of dizzyness, and loss of appetite. Other than that I'm perfectly fine. All my side effects are very mild.

I took this when I was younger because it was the only thing that helped me when I had ear infections. I am now taking this for a sinus infection had have had no side effects.

I was prescribed Bactrim for a bad sinus infection. Had achey joints, difficulty sleeping. On the 7th day of treatment broke out in horribles hives, face is read and swollen, hands swollen. Discontinued use and hives starting to go away. Also seem to be having an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath. The heartbeat irregularity is freaking me out. I took Benadryl to get rid of the hives, but am hoping my heart rate regulates -- I've never had an irregular heartbeat it's weird.

Terrible headaches, dizziness, sweating,heart racing .. Im going to stop taking this now ...

i am having acid flash backs accompanied by severe anxiety, headache,blood shot eyes, elevated blood pressure, dam near had a panic attack.

Well,after reading everyone eles's review, I should consider myself lucky. Just two days of this drug & I'm done. I'll never take it again. Today,2nd day, bad stomach pains, shortness of breath & some anxiety, no appetite.

this is the only antibitic that works for me. I have to take it wqith food but othewr than that it is great

After reading all the bad reviews I wonder why this is not banned! I took thi for a boil and i was scared i was dying iI had headaches tired all the time dry mouth and slight agitation.I told my wife I thought something was seriously wrong with me untill I read web md your reviews made me feel better!

I was given two antibiotics for an ingrown toenail infection. I had taken one of the antibiotics in the past. I only took 1 dose the first day so I fell pretty sure the other antibiotic was not the problem. The side effects increased each day. Several hours after 1st dose I felt tired & cold. The 2nd day,I had a head ache. On the 3rd day I had trouble thinking clearly. On the 4th day the headache became a migraine & my tongue was very sore. On the 5th day I had nausea. Later that day I flet like I had the flu & my ears were ringing. That night I had hard shaking chills & my temperture went over 103. I never broke into a sweat. After taking tylenol it slowly came down. After 7 hours it was down to 99.4. I saw my doctor that morning & he told me I had a drug fever reaction & to never take it again. He also said I could have more drug fever reactions for up to a week after I stoped taking the Bactrim DS.Read More Read Less

I took 1 pill and got horrible side affects. I felt warm and dehydrated all day. After I went to bed for the night (about 6 hours after taking it) I woke up shaking, just chilled to the bone and my heart pounding out of my chest. I managed to get a little sleep and when I woke up in the morning I was burning up and just hurt everywhere. My head felt like it was going to explode it hurt so bad. My stomach hurt so bad that I was doubled over in pain. I never took another dose. I called the pharmacy and they told me that those weren't "known" side effects. Well I was prescribed this medication for a samll bump on my neck I thought to be a bug bite. The Dr told me it was an in-grown hair that turened into a boil.then staph infection??? strange because I was at the Dr the same day I got the bump, that I thought was a bite. I was givin the meds three days ago and have been scared to take them because I am allergic to ALOT of antibiotics and had a bad feeling about this one..and now reading these reviews I will not even take the first dose..the bump has already improved on its own and hopefully the topic cream i was also prescribed will do the trick!Read More Read Less

I only took this 3 times, I experienced panic attacks, crying spells, shortness of breath, burning and itching on skin, I had to call my Dr. and stop the treatment, I will NEVER take this, it is awefull.
