My daughter was given this for a possible sinus infection. She's allergic to amoxicillin and keflex. After taking it for 8 days she broke out with the worse rash from head to toe that I had ever seen! Her face was swollen and looked like she had a full body sunburn. She was extremely itchy and felt like she was burning.

I have chronic UTIs and my nurse practitioner has prescribed me to take this after intercourse. So far, so good- no infections after 2 months and I had been getting them every month or so.

too much pottassium in body

i have a respiratory condition which has required me to take this medication twice a day for the last 4 years. Except for the skin rash i just developed i would continue to take this medication. It's a God send for me.

I take Bactrim with me whenever I travel, as I get travlers diarhhea often, one pill and the nausea and diarhhea is gone, but I continue to take them for a couple days. If Bactrim makes you throw up you must be allergic to sulfur.

had bad reaction from meds, still took them, but won't take a generic again. took regular bactrim before and no problem, worked great, but generic made me deathly sick

My Daughter almost died taking this medication. She is still detoxifying from this med. and is dealing with bad sidefects. Do Not Take this medication. Should be taken of the market!!!

Dr put me on this for sinus and ear infections. It worked great to get rid of both, but on day 9 I broke out in extreme hives all over my body. Dr advised me to stop taking it and to take Benadryl to help with the hives and itchiness. I've been off of the meds almost 24 hrs and my rash seems to be worse. We'll see what happens from here....just be cautious if you've been prescribed this drug. I didn't realize that an allergy could surface after almost a week of taking it.

Been taking batrim ds for two weeks; I don't know if the side effects are worth the treatment. Although the physician gave it for a wound infection and was afraid of it becoming MRSA infected, I'm wondering if there were alternatives to this drug...the side effects of nausea and diarrhea were the pits!

I was suffering with lower back pain, abdominal pain,and cloudy foul smelling urine for quite a while. I went to the Dr. and was prescribed 800 mg pills twice a day. After the first day, I had no back pain!!! I fortunately have had no side effects except maybe a litte anxious and slightly dizzy. But I will take that compared to the agony I was in before I took this drug.I am on day 3 with 3 more to go. All that I can say is Thank God for Bactrim!!!!!!

Product did not work. Had to be switched to another medicine.

take at 8 A.M. & 8 P.M. for 30 days

After second pill, noticed a red rash on legs, very itchy. As the day progressed, rash and itching got worse and has moved to other parts of body. Will call Dr again, and will not take anymore of this medicine. This medicine was given to me because another antibiotic, Doxycycline caused severe vomiting and diarrhea after taking only 3 doses. Would rather live with the Bronchitis symptoms.
