LOST CONTROL OF RT SIDE

My husband has been on it for a short time and will have to continue for the staph infection in his knee replacement. He seems to have a loss of appetite. Will this go away?

I have used bactrim before in the pass, and it had worked fine. This time, when I'd used bactrim, I had such a bad reaction to the drug. My face, lip and swelled. I had blisters in my mouth. My throat is in so much pain, I am unable to eat solid food. I'd contacted my doctor, who seem to be less inform. About the side effect. After having a mole remove, which was basil cell, I developed MRSA. I was put on bactrim and the 5th day on it I developed side effects, bad enough I went to the ER. In a nut shell I was told I had to keep taking this med no matter what. Its the only oral med that MRSA is sensitive to, and if I didn't take it, I would end up in the ER again on my death bed. So scared, because I don't want to take the bactrium because of all the creepy side effects, my Dr. gave me xanax,to ease the side effects, like the racing heart, chills, and just an over all crummy felling. So I would recommend to anyone who has to take bactrium get a rx for the xanax while your taking it.Read More Read Less

gave me leg cramps

This crap has my joints feeling like they're being pulled thru my skin. Joints aching so bad I can't walk. Pain is so severe I can't lay in bed either. This sucks!! its poison. Do not take this crap.

i want to remind people that most of the negative reactions to this medication listed in reviews on this site are most likely due to an allergy to the medication. it is a sulfa drug. which not everyone can take. i am not allergic to sulfa and have never had a problem when taking bactrim.

This medicine was really horrible for me. On the seventh day out of ten, I had to stop taking it because of adverse reactions: Headache-swollen tongue with bumps-bad nightmares- trouble sleeping but I was very fatigued and couldn't get out of bed- neck pain-eye pain and my eyes are red and I haven't taken it since yesterday morning- inside of my mouth feels funny- all my joints are aching- my chest got really tight and heavy- depression and hopeless feelings, and I am a very happy person,like practically always- generalized frustration and anxiety- I was crying for no reason and just kept doing it-Crazy stuff- No meds have ever done this to me...ever. I am still hurting all over real bad all over.I don't feel good at all and I still have to go back to the doctor to get a different antibiotic. Worst experience I have ever had on any medicine. Medicine subsided the sinus infection in 24 hrs, but caused major stomach pain on 2nd day. Wasn't worth that! Won't ever use again.

I had mrsa . And it cleared it up while in the hosptila and the the treatment at home .

broke out in rash that turned to blisters

I also thought maybe it was just me....I will never use this drug again unless necessary. The severe and prickly itching kept me up the entire night, and I also experienced extreme achiness and a fever.

I have been treated for an abscess. I took two doses, each for 14 days, with no issues at all. My doctor prescribed a third dose, and the first night I had an allergic reaction, a red rash on my face, neck, shoulders, and legs and itchy sensation. I stopped it after taking the second pill, and the rash and itchy sensation has disappeared.

I had a skin infection, which my doctor gave me Bactrim 10 day supply. It has worked for the infection-some healing-but after using it for 10+ days, I have developed a severe skin rash all over my body, due to the sulfa in this drug. It doesn't itch, but is red and flush feeling.

the only side effects I've noticed is extreme insomnia and feeling very tired. I will not take this drug again

I was prescribed this medication by my dermatologist for sever acne (I'm 29). Using this product as a combination with Differin Gel completely cleared my skin to the point where it was glowing. My mom is using it too, however the Bactrim irritates her stomach, but that hasn't happened to me. I have been taking it for about a year. I did stop taking it for about 3 months and the acne did come back, but not as severly. I started taking it again, and it seems to be clearing up nicely.

If you have Crohns Disease, do not take this medication, I have CD and its tearing my stomach up!

i have boils or pimples on my head and my hair would fall i was put on this medication the said the treatment its going to last 4 monts its been 15 days on the first day i felt nautius and fever but now i dont feel any sideeffects and the boils are disappering i guess its working
