I was given this medicine to treat infection after having sugery to my finger, (fused joint together.) Today I took the third dose. Last night I felt a bit nauseous, and weak. This morning I began to get a rash so severe it brought me to knees crying. I was unaware this medicine had sulfur in it, and have had a severe reaction. Waiting now for the Dr. to call to prescribe new RX. Benedryl is kicking in and slowly the itching is subsiding, yet the welps are on me from head to toe. cleared up my UTI but gave me a wicked rash on my neck, belly, and chest

well, the urinary tract infection cleared, but i got a terrible rash and a high fever after taking the medicine for 8 days.

was using for a spider bite possibly a brown recluse. after 72 hrs i show no signs of bite healing or redness disapating

no change in symptoms with 13 days treatment.

This was my second kidney infection/UTI in a month, with headaches, fatigue, lower back pain, cramping in my lower abdomen, and blood in my urine. After several days on this medication, I'm back to normal with no noticeable side effects. (I was on Cipro during the first infection.)

I have Interstitial Cystitis and my age is 81 yrs. I don't expect to be cured in my lifetime, only releved of some pain.

i took this drug for staph infection- it worked very fast and was quite effective, however- the side effects were terrible. i had vomitting and stomache upset, headaches, and felt tired. the benefits of the medication outweighed these side effects.

Closing of throat, sleep apnea while trying to go to sleep

I was prescribed this medication for multiple infections, sinus, ear, and eyes but after only 2 doses I became very dizzy, to the point I was unable to stand. I was unable to control my sleeping patternes, it was very difficult to function on this medication.

My first dose after coming home from the hospital was fine, but that following morning. I had a headache and joint pain, I stop take this medication.

Had unknown swelling under right ear on the edge of jawline. Not impacted tooth, doctors couldnt figure me out. Dosed me with 1gram of Azithromycin at the ER and gave me Bactrim. Only side affect was constipation but whatever it was cleared up in 72 hours. Good medicine and very affordable as i do not have insurance. $400 to sit in the ER through, is a different story.

I was presecribed Bactrim DS (bid 7days) to treat MSRA boils that I had on my back & legs. It helped with the boils, but the side effects made me feel worse than the MSRA. I had nausea, achiness, and tiredness. I would take it again as it was the only antibiotic that worked on my staph.

I was taking this for a UTI. After my first full days dose, I started having side effects that I consider severe. I had a headache, fever, joint pain, and vomiting. Then I broke out in a rash! I stopped taking this and felt better within 2 days. This is not good for me.

I had a staph infection on my thigh. The medicine worked well, but I had oral thrush and yeast infections as my side effects. Minor case of diaharra also. Other then that no complains at all.

I had a large painful boil on my leg. The medication worked very well for that but the side effects drove me crazy. I had the sever itching, headache, vomitting & insomnia. I also have restless leg syndrome & the meds made it much worse than normal.

I was diagnosed with a staph infection. I took Bactrim for 1 week in conjunction with Clindomycin and the infection has completely disappeared.
