As a RA patient, my doctor and I looked at many scrips for this disease, didn't like the chance of all the side effects of some, this seemed easy to use with the least amount of side effects. After taking the meds for 3 years, my doctor pronounced me : In Remission : and told me to come back in 6 months. All I heard was the words, In Remission, and then quit taking the meds that day. I went alo...
Just started today. Hope it works! I read some of the previous comments. Scarey!!!! Hope I don't experience their side effects, especially the hair loss.

Takes a while to build up within the system. Once built up, is fantastic along with other meds such as methotrexate, prednisolone, endep, diclofenac.

This medication made my life hell. I ended up in the emergency room 3 times. I got Giant Hives, dermatology at DHMC took pics of me it was that bad. I still have pink spots under my skin from it, and my face breaks out with these weird pink spots, they turn into hurting areas. then they are feverish and open and bleed. They bleed for several days and then start to heal like a burn heals. They put me on several things to try to get rid of this. I hate this and the Dr. that put me on it, he doesn't act like he cares at all. This stuff is like a mottled looking stuff under my skin. He knew by my records that I don't do well with most meds. Also if you are on thyroid meds, you should NOT be put on this junk. All it took was 1 pill and contaminated my pills in my pill box, great stuff.Read More Read Less

I have been on this medicine for over 1 year. I am having an awful time with sweating when ever I do the smallest thing. I asked my Dr. and he said that was not one of the side effects. My knees still hurt and I still have a hard time sleeping at night. I asked him if I could quit and have now been off the drug for 2 months. Still feel the same. I hate being fatigued all the time. They say diet has a lot to do with arthritis. Has anyone had any experience with changing diet to help with the inflammation? You just don't know what to believe anymore.Read More Read Less

I have been on this for almost two years. Before this medication I was unable to go to school or hold a job. Now I am a full time student and manage to walk all over campus. I wont say it's a wonder drug, but it helps a lot without affecting my ability to have kids. It made me nauseous and sleepy at first but it wares off. I was also very intolerable to the sun before, and now I'm fine with a mild sunscreen. Summer here I come! I will say I am disappointed to hear I wont be able to take it for life because it usually affects the eyes after many years, but hopefully I can take this drug until I've had children :) Read More Read Less

My rheumatologist wanted to see if I had Juv. RA even though my blood test was negative. I have been on the med for over a month and I honestly don't feel much different. The first day I took it, my knees felt great. After that, everything went back to normal. I don't even know if I have Juv RA...My appetite has decreased significantly, and when I do manage to eat I almost vomit. My sleeping has been different and I have been itchy, especially as of late. Also, my period cycle has been a disaster, but that might be due to the prednisone and the cortisone shots he gave me due to the brusitis in my shoulders. ugh, i'm only 27...what are the side effects if you take yourself off this medication cold turkey?Read More Read Less

I have taken this for RA for two years and feel like it was my lifeline. Without it I can't hold a coffee cup due to severe pain in my hands. I have had no side effects and have my eyes checked every 6 months with no problems. I read all the side effects possible and didn't want to take it but am so glad I did. My Dr. said give it a try for a couple months and I'm so grateful for the advice!
