My 2 year old takes this medicine for Gastroparisis. It has made a world of difference. Literly saved his life. He was down to 21lbs and dropping and after 4 months he is up to 24lbs and has gained 3 inches in height! We have a confirmed diagnosis through a gastirc emptying study...I would not just go giving it to little ones without that step first! I am scared to death of giving him prolonge...

I am scared to death of giving him prolonged antibotics, but it is the only thing that works and he was absoutly wasting away. He has had this condition since he was born, but it took us 2 years to diagnose it. We use Dr. Freeman at UNC-CH if anyone is at that scary place I was a couple years ago and trying to figure out what to do. Maybe she can help you the way she has helped us. Good luck. (PS if you are using this to treat bacteria it WILL screw up your stomach is and probably not your best drug. You should seriously look for another doctor or discuss why your doctor would have prescribed this one when there are so many better antibiotics for regular ol infections.) Read More Read Less
