Have used this medication for approximately 10 years for lichen sclerosus of the vaginal area. Used to be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Now 3 or 4 applications a week, using Mon, Wed, & Fri,using cotton underwear, being very careful to avoid tight clothing in that area and wearing nightgowns to provide air to the area.

I've had scalp psoriasis since I got pregnant back in 2010. It had gotten worse over the years. My father had plaque psoriasis all over his body so before this moved from my scalp anywhere else I went to see a dermatologist who prescribed the Clobetasol Shampoo. This stuff is amazing.... my large plaques on my scalp were gone after 3 applications (in a week) and now I just use it once a week to maintain a healthy scalp and stop it from coming back or having a flare up. One thing I will say, my scalp became very sensitive the first few weeks (maybe cause I was using it 3 times a week). It got to the point that it was uncomfortable to run my fingers through my hair... but that got better when I only used it once a week. Trust me when I say this is a miracle treatment. I was using a lice brush to pull off all of the plaques I had daily. My son used to say that I had "Mommy Glitter" on my shirt but it was dandruff from all of the dead skin and plaques. This is all gone... I have a clean scalp and no more itch, bleeding, pain, and dandruff! I can now pick up my hair without thinking that my plaques are showing at the base of my hair line. Try this... you won't be disappointed. Read More Read Less

I'm stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and one of the manifestations of this condition is constant skin itch. And I mean severe skin itch! I refer to this medication as the "nuclear option" as it simply blows every other itch treatment out of the water. It's not perfect, and sometimes it doesn't work well at all (VERY seldom), but the vast majority of the time it's very effective.

I easily get itchy and cracked skin from allergy eczema. I also get cracks on my finger tips after working in wet or muddy conditions. Clobetasol and a band aid is the best remedy for quick relief and healing. Often my skin is healed up in a day or so. No household should be without this stuff.

Doctor claimed I had LS on my vulvar - despite no symptoms!
Used this stuff on myself as she said it’s to stop cancer - after 2 days sore and swollen with yeast infection. Won’t use it again.

Went to pcp for rash I thought was ringworm, initially was given antifungal but it got worse. Then given a cocktail treatment of more creams and pills, plus antibiotics. It worked for a bit but my rash never went away. Pcp finally did a culture where they took a chunk of my skin and sent it to lab.
Dx: perivascular dermatitis
Prescribed this cream and it went away with in 3 days. Amazing! Find out my dermatitis caused by stress.

I have bad plaque psoriasis on my right elbow. Sometimes it hurts so bad and cracks and bleeds and is very scaly. After two days use and covering it with a bandage at night the plaque is almost cured. This cream is a miracle cream. It does bleach the skin where applied for a few days and sometimes itches but it helps so much. I recommend this cream.

I was cleaning out my medicine cabinet when I ran across a tube of this medicine. I came to WebMD to research the uses to determine if I should keep it. I decided to leave a review based on my experiences with this medication. For years, I have a terrible breakout in my vagina area. Doctors performed many test, bi-ops, you name it, I had it. For a period of probably 10 years, I suffered. My PCP prescribed this medicine and my condition improved tremendously. Months later, it was determined that stress was causing my breakouts. Although this medicine was instrumental in providing relief, stress was the culprit. I will advise everyone to do what you can to reduce stress in your life.Read More Read Less

for those of you experiencing vaginal issues, so have I and I found not using the cream and using tea tree oil soap and the tea tree oil cured my vaginal itch. I had no infection but for almost a year an incredible itch. I used the cream which helped, then went to natural cure.

I too have vaginal lichen sclerosis. During a flare up, I apply 2 days in a row and it usually won’t return for months. The first dose helps within an hour.

My Gynecologist prescribed this for me 12 years ago to treat my vaginal lichen sclerosis. I was told to use it sparingly due to it being a steroid. Initially, it was only once a month when I’d have a flare up. Then after five years I found I was using it every 2-3 weeks. Now it’s every other day, at least. I don’t think this is healthy for my vagina. I believe I’m experiencing skin tears which burn and irritate. My doctor has no other treatment to help me, so I guess this is my life!!

I would get random flare ups on my palms and bottom of my feet, itchy, scaly, cracked and bleeding skin through out the year, I used to drink fiber and my feet cleared up within a few months. Recently, my ezcema came back. My dermatologist prescribed me Clobetasol, after a week, my palms started to clear up, now working on the bottom of my feet. My dermatologist also advised me to refrain from using any harsh chemicals, such as rubbing alcohol etc. And it helps!

I have suffered for years and have used many different creams/ointments, etc., none of which worked. Within 2 days of using Clobetasol my hands started to clear up and I haven't had a flare-up in over a week. My only complaint is that I wasn't prescribed this medication years ago.

Psoriasis Guttate on body and developed in ear with large plaque on eardrum. From irritation due to chemicals in the plastics of in-ear headphones. Used liquid .05% solution. Cleared up within 3 weeks. Miracle after over a year of infections and daily irritation and bother. Have to use to clear up regrowth of rashes from plastics exposure near the ears from headphones.

Was prescribed this medicine to tackle a bout with poison ivy. It temporarily relieved the itching but within an a couple of hours the itching returned with vengeance. After 5 days of applying this cream, I wasn't getting any better. Starting washing the affected area with Dawn, rinsing in cool water, applied the cream, itching got worse. So just went to Washing with Dawn and within 3 days the affected area got better. This cream which the Dr. told me would work better than Hydrocortisone 2.5% didn't.Read More Read Less

I started using this cream for only five days and I see a HUGE improvement. My legs aren't in pain from my eczema and they've cleared up about 75% of the way. Definitely recommend this.

This doctor is arrogant and only sees dollar signs when you go to him for treatment. I had a mild case of psoriasis on my hands. I had previously had a biopsy to confirm it was psoriasis. This doctor decided to ignore my conformation and said it looks like eczema as I didn't have it on my feet at the time and this is what he decided to first treat me for. After about 2 weeks I called to complain that the creams he gave me wasn't working. So because I had been on cyclosporine and methotrexate before and it didn't work he said the only other step is Humira injections. When I finally got my insurance to accept the bill after 3 weeks of my own persistence by calling numerous people I started the injections. It has been 2 months and my psoriasis has flared up to its worst ever and is now all over my body. Because of this I am also losing my hair because of the stress it has caused. I asked my doctor to refer me to another dermatologist and went to my appointment today. Straight away he made me feel that he was going to do everything possible to help me. He held my hands to look at the condition, this is important to know because Cotoure didn't even come close to me,, he just sat back in his chair and wrote on a pad. The new doctor was shocked when he asked me if Cotoure had had my blood works done before he prescribed me Humira, I said no he didn't. He couldn't believe it. This new doctor made a bold statement to me today and said that my hand, which is the worst affected area will be clear like his by the end of next month. I was teary eyed and a sense of relief came across me because I believed him. Someone in his position would not make a bold statement like that if he didn't think it to be true. I am also now hoping that my hair will stop falling out knowing there's a light at the end of this very dark tunnel. Well that was my experience and I'm usually a respectful patient, but not for this guy, not at all. Read More Read Less
