I have moderate to severe abdominal pain up to below my breasts. It feels like my insides are being squeezed, it hurts when I walk and it hurts when I sit down. It also hurts when I have a bowel movement though I have not developed diarrehea.

I took this for sinus infection. The sinus infection went away then came the diarreah. I found out 2 weeks later that it destroyed allthe good bacteria as well. Now I have a major problem I now am on metronidazole for 7 more days to try to kill all the bad bacteria I have now. I am eating yogurt to try to produce good bacteria. I hope this works.

been using it for 4 days. seems to be working.no side effects so far.

I have been taking this drug for about 3 days when I began experiencing extreme abdominal pain with rectal bleeding. It helped the symptoms I had but gave me new ones that are just as painful!

I have only been on it for a couple of days and had to stop. I feel sooo bad. I have severe stomach pain,nausiated,diahria. I will never ever take this again.

vaginal itch after about 5 days. Then on eighth day of taking the medication I have a very sore swollen tongue. I do not feel i can take the last two days doses, although I know I should finish the full course.

I am taking this drug for the second time for strep throat. Today is the first day and I have already remembered why it is I hate this drug so much. I have taken one pill and already have severe nausea and vomiting and so far a minor case of diarrhea which I expect to get worse. My head is already throbbing and my neck and back are tight. I do not recommend this drug if you cant handle the possibility of these side effects.

I am 16 years old and suffered from cronic tonsalitis as a child. this is the frist time i have got tonsalitis in about two years. I hate this drug. Every time i take a dose i get a pounding headacke. I also take tylnoal to help with the headacke, but it dose not go away as quick as i would like. I am very weak and tired.I also get nausea and diarrhea. It seems like my tonsals are stil swollen and they are stil painful. This is only my thrid day taking the drug. It took care of my sinus infection it left me with diarrhea for 7 days and dizziness, not to mention feeling completely exhausted.

Took this medication for 10 days to treat a sinus infection. Had no side effects whatsoever, however my appetite was not the same. On Day 10, I broke out in hives/red itchy rash. I am hoping this goes away since today is my last dose. Have no complaints except that it might guarantee a rash if you have been on it for a prolonged period of time.

I am a lifelong sinusitis patient with four sinus surgeries, years of allergy shots, and a managed health care program minding the anti-biotics my doctor gives me. I have had three "experiences" with Augmentin. The first time I went back to my ENT surgeon feeling terrible when the first antibiotic didn't work. He gave me Augmentin. I didn't realize the symptoms I had were from the drug. After two days I had severe body aches, flu like symptoms, and elevated fever. I felt so terrible I had to take a taxi ride to the emergency room. The second experience was similar to the first. Again the drug side effects were masked by the sinus symptoms I already had. I was travelling and a "doc-in-the-box" gave me Augmentin. Two days later I sincerely thought I was going to die. Again I went to the emergency room with terrible overall body pain, fever, migrane headache. I couldn't walk the pain was so bad. The third experience was by accident. Again while travelling a local physician gave me a "sample." After the first day the same symptoms started. I stopped taking the Augementin and immediately felt better. I wanted to share my experience because out of all the drugs I've taken for my condition I never thought one could react so terribly and violently. Scary,I took full dose...it got rid of earache but1 wk later have full body aggressive hives. Never been allergic to it before. Will NEVER take it again.

By day 3 = diahrea as promised by list of side effects. no stomach upset. Sinus infection is improving slightly. many days still to go.

had ear infection, second day the pain was gone and it worked great.

By the 3rd pill I was experiencing horrible stomach pain, nausea, and extreme flatulence (gas). I stopped taking it immediately and contacted my doctor who prescrible a different antibiotic. I rarely take antibiotics and have never had a reaction like this. I will never, never, take this antibiotic again.

My 7 1/2 month old daughter fractured her finger by dropping a can on soup on it, the dr's gave this medicine to help in case she got an infection under her finger nail. It has given her SEVERE diaherea, and a rash that goes from head to toe. She is not allergic to it they say it's a chemical reaction, which to me sounds like an allergic reaction. Never will I give this to her again.

within 2 days I broke out in hives all over my torso, severe itching on bottom of my feet and palms of my hands. I stopped taking 4 days ago and the hives are starting to fade but the itching is still pretty intense.

After 3rd pill was experiencing severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and overall sick. Stopped immediately, called Dr. and was prescribed another drug. Never will I take this medication again. Horrible side effects. Worse than the sinus infection.
