Feeling better after 3 doses. The bacteria I'm infected with must be very susceptible to this drug. PLEASE DON'T STOP TAKING YOUR ANTIBIOTICS due to minor side effects. Switch them with your doctor so you don't stop cold and then develop resistant bacteria. You babies are a big reason why we have MRSA and other resistant pathogens.

This drug is terrible. Sure it will get rid of sinusitis, but your risk of getting C. Diff is dangerously high. Something needs to be done about the super bug. No one deserves to suffer that much.

After 24 hours on this drug, I felt dizzy and my tongue felt like it had thrush. Call Dr. he said to take a Benedryl. There has to be something better. (mild sinus problem too)

I've been on this drug for strep throat since Thursday night, it's not early Saturday morning and I feel like it's not working. My throat feels like it's swollen more than before and it still feels like I'm swallowing nails...I took pill #4 about a half hour ago, and am praying that one allows me to tat least swallow with ease.

I have been on this medicine for over three days with little signs of improvement. I still have lots of sinus congestion and flem buildup. No bad side effects however, so will continue for ten days as prescribed.

Bitter taste for sure. Been taking it for 5 days for pneumonia. I'm feeling a bit better. Thought I would feel much better by now. See my MD in two days. Still coughing, weak, tired, no stamina.

Worst tasting drug I have ever used but it works great. The tablets will literally melt in your mouth if you can't swollow them quickly and the taste will be horrible.

Never again. The state I am in with the runs and cramping is worse than the ear infection... I wish I had just waited it out.

I have been on the medicine for two days and I am feeling a little better day by day, the medicine is helping break everything up in my chest, at first wasn't going to go to the dr and then I got to the point where I was gasping for air all the time. I feel that this medicine has worked for me.

This medicine had to be my saving grace as I could not afford the more expensive antibiotics but very very sick had other infections such as ear and bronchial too. The medicine taste horrid so very hard to swallow down twice a day with chocolate even but after a week of being on it I think the over the counter meds were more effective. Normally on Antibiotics I start feeling some type of better by 2nd day and with this not even by day 6. Going back to doc tomorrow in hopes of a more effective affordable antibiotic.Read More Read Less

First thing I noticed was the awful taste. Then I began throwing up after 3 doses. Tasted like the pill, same color as pill. Called the doctor, they changed the medication.

This drug, while apparently helping get rid of my sinus infection symptoms within the first couple days, has also made me nauseated & given me pretty strong stomach cramping, along with very loose stools. I am afraid to go anywhere in case I need to go the bathroom asap! The trade-off from having a severe sinus infection to now having to be near a bathroom around the clock & feel sick to my stomach is NOT worth it. I quit taking the medication 24 houea after starting it. Also the awful taste makes it an even worse choice for an antibiotic, in my opinion. I definitely will ask for a different antibiotic if I ever am prescribed one again!Read More Read Less

I have been on four different antibiotics, all without success. My stomach couldn't take any of them. My md gave me Cefuroxime 250MG tablets. Yea they are bitter tasting, and yea they gave me a slight head ache. But they worked. The key to this medication is eat bread, milk or anything that will coat your stomach. Then ten or fifteen minutes later take the medication. Nothing worked for me till this came along. No diarea, no cramping. Trust me four different drugs! This one works great for me. Infection is completely gone. Would recommend it to anyone! Read More Read Less

I have suffered from a mild case of adult acne for 10 years (I'm now 48). I was prescribed cefuroxime because of an unidentifiable bug bite on my arm, which developed a red circular inflammation around the bite; however, not the notorious "bulls eye" of a tick bite. After 2 doses of the cefuroxime (500 mg each) my acne was gone and the bug bite never developed into an infection. I only have a couple of doses left before I'm done. Yes, the taste of the drug is horrible, but cefuroxime works, and to my surprise it worked targeted more than I imagined it would. The only side affect that I have experienced is feeling a little tired. Just be sure to take cefuroxime with food and plenty of water. Be well.Read More Read Less

Peopls should appreciate that we live in a country where we can go to a pharmacy and get meds to make us well......sheesh!

I took this for a suspected early stage of Lyme disease. I don't have confirmation that is my condition, but I had a fever for 2 weeks. I was on 2 other antibiotics (3 days each) that did not do anything. After 48 hrs my fever dropped slightly, then more the next day and now 5 days later it is only a low-grade fever. The taste is really gross and it has been giving me a bad headache, but I think it is working none-the-less.
