I was on amoxil for a sinus infection when it came back I had nasty sore throats every night which were gone within 24 hours of beginning this medication. It does taste horrible but I found a suggestion on another site to coat the pill in honey which works great. I don't taste the bitterness at all. It is a little rough on my stomach if I take it with milk or yogurt it seems to stop me from having...

This medicaton in the form of a pill has the most horrible tasting coating on it that leaves a bitter taste long after and is very hard to swallow because of its size.

I was on day 10 of a sore throat (I have chronic tonsillitis) and my chest was burning, larygitis and exhausted completly. Doctor put me on Ceftin. Tasted bad, but just have a chaser, no biggie. Went from feeling worse day by day to getting better on day 3-4. After so many days of being sick I don't know if it is the medicine or just time. I vote for medicine

After being on augmentin for 3 weeks with no results, finally prescribed Ceftin. Very expensive ( no prescrip. coverage) and the pill is so bitter, it has to be swallowed just right, to avoid the aftertaste. But, after 2 weeks, no more sinus headaches.

I had pneumonia back in December and was given this antibiotic, it worked but I really had to take it for two and a half weeks for it to kick the infection out. Now I'm back on it again for bronchitus, within two doses the mucus I was coughing up went from brown to white, which is a good sign. It does upset my stomach a little, but other than that it seems to be a good medication.

With this drug I experienced extreme tiredness, loss of concentration, and uncontrollable mood swings. It took two days to relize just how bad off I was mentally.

Did not phase the infection. Horrible stomach pains, gas, and diarrhea. Cut back to one pill/day due to stomach irritation. Developed a yeast infection. This medicine seems a total waste to take.

I am an allergy sufferer (dogs, mold, 3 types of weeds such as pigweed, dustmites, etc) and was prescribed this medication by my Allergist. Thus far it has helped and would recommend it for anyone who suffers from a bacterial allergy...

I usually have no problems taking pills, but this was HORRIBLE to swallow. It kept getting stuck in my throat and leaving an awful taste in my mouth. It has worked to clear up my sinus infection, so I am happy about that, but will ask to never have this medicine again.

This stuff tastes beyond horrible. My head has cleared up, but my stomach is very upset. My stomach issues are making me feel worse than my sinsues were. I have almost no interest in food. I also have horrible headaches, but it could be due to not eating for almost three days now.

I was experiencing the one of the worst upper respiratory infections. After the 1st day of use, I felt much better. The pill does taste bad and I did experience mild reflux. Definitely make sure to take it with plenty of water as instructed.

I was miserable with the most sore throat of my life. I went to the emergency room after I couldn't swallow without severe pain for two nights. They gave me a shot of this and a Rx for 7 days. I felt so much better by the next day. That was three days ago and I feel almost completely normal. I am having hearburn after I take each dose though that is bothersome and I have to take an acid reducer and tums. It does taste horrible, but is working well and quickly.

I was prescribe Ceftin for Pneumonia. Even in pill form it is HORRIBLE tasting. Not only that but it caused me to have a terrible stomach ache and I even threw up a few times after my last dosage. I'm NEVER going to take this again.

I was diagnosed with lymes disease and was given amoxicillin three times a day for a month. My symptoms did not go away and the blood work came back positive again after once I finished the amoxicillin, so my doctor prescribed ceftin. I am nursing and he said it was safe to take I took one pill and nursed my 7 month old daughter. That night she could not sleep and seemed to have stomach pains. The next morning she had a rash all over her stomach and back. Not safe for while nursing!
