This product is effective. Take only one at a time (i took two once and was crying in pain). You should also plan to take it only when you can afford to have some quality bathroom time. You may need a few trips to the bathroom as it works through your system. Don't take it the day that you have something really imortant to do. I took it at 9 p.m. and it worked its way through at about 10 a.m. ...

I had received free samples of Dulcolax laxative tablets and took one two nights ago around 10PM. I woke up in the morning with moderate cramping, and while on my commute was feeling uncomfortable. I had jury duty that morning and as soon as the case began, I started feeling incredibly nauseous and hot, as well as crampy, and hobbled embarrassingly to the bathroom. There I stayed for 30 minutes hu...

I used the liquid and no pain at all! Took at 6 pm and at 7 am next day I was relieved to say it worked no issues and no cramps as others say.. try liquid as pills seem to cause issues!

The only thing that kept me alive during those horrendous cramps was crawling through this comment section telling myself that this much people have survived through this excruciating process. I took this at 2am and woke up feeling nothing, and 10 minutes into an online meeting I couldn’t even think straight and had to excuse myself to the toilet. Never in my life have I felt pain that literally made my eyes haze over and made me nauseous, and unfortunately my pathetic little bathroom doesn’t have a bathtub, I had to use all the strength I had left to keep myself up straight on the toilet. I’m the silent type when it comes to pain, and I cried myself into tears and waned all the way through the cramps. I’m only a few hours in and the cramp is still there, and I’m ordering a same day delivery portable bathtub. If your constipations not to the point where you feel like your feces gonna come out of your throat, do not take this. Even if your doctor advices you to. I now suspect this is the pharmacy’s trick so that I go back for pain killers. Read More Read Less

So I decided to take two pills before bed. I’ve taken the drug before and it’s been fine (bearing in mind I only took one pill those times). I wake up from a horrible pain in my stomach like I cannot even move. And then I am on the toilet and it’s just ridiculous. I have cold sweats, extreme nausea and a headache. This lasted throughout the day with excruciating pain. I emptied my bowels but at a huge cost. Not taking this drug again.

I had a complete bowel blockage a couple months ago and the doctor got me to do a colon prep (full bottle of miralax and 2 dulcolax) and it worked very quickly. Very painful though. Now, been having problems with my stomach so I decided to take 2 last night around 9pm. Woke up drenched in sweat from the agonizing pain I was in at around 4am but I do have to say it does most definitely work. It will cause pain but it works.

Start off on a good point, these do work. The bowel does get emptied, I would use these maybe once a month, if that, depending on how I felt. This being said it works, comes along with awful side effects. On two specific occasions, I took one one time and two the other time about half hour before bed. Both times, including other times, I woke up about 6hours later, sweating and in absolute horrible sharp pains, id put it on the pain level of contractions. I felt that way for about an hour before going toilet about 2 or 3 times. The occasion I took 2, I literally passed out, I sat in Bath tub and felt my heart go slow down so much I could barely catch a breath. along with pains and not being able to move my body at all over the weakness and passing out, I will never be desperate enough to take 2.Read More Read Less

I used one pill as instructed at a few minutes past noon yesterday, other than serious terrible cramps 3 hours later I still couldn’t go. It’s past 8am the next day and I had to take another since it didn’t work for me. I had the urge to go but it’s still so hard, the only thing I got is cramps.. all through the day and night, terrible cramps that are worse than period cramps. I do not recommend

My gallbladder decided it wanted to act up. Due to this I was given some pain killers, and as a result of no longer being in pain I became constipated. I finally couldn’t take it anymore, I couldn’t eat (even the clear liquid diet I was on, jello was making me sick to my stomach). I drank so much water, I used other products, nothing was working. I took ONE dulcolax at midnight. Thankfully I didn’t have much cramping, but I did have a handful of trips to the restroom with nothing coming out. About an hour after taking just one pill I had the horrible urge to drop the kids off at the pool. I got to the toilet, I pushed and pushed. At this point I finally resorted to Lamaze breathing techniques that I had been taught while I was in labor. At approximately 1:15 am I welcomed a Dookie Tom Tit into the world. It was glorious. I immediately felt relief like I never have before. However, about thirty minutes later I started to feel some cramping, and throughout the night I ended up delivering three more of Dookies siblings. This is great if you have an issue. I highly recommend it. 10/10 would do it again. I will say that I have taken this before. TRY ONE FIRST. Don’t take the two recommended first. You will feel like you are dying. I tried them like two years ago? And I swore to never take them ever again. I only kept them around for emergencies. Like on my deathbed, already in pain from not pooping for weeks. My advice is to start with one and go from there. I had great luck with just one. Good luck.Read More Read Less

I took 2 tablets at 9pm as I was traveling and didn’t have a regular BM for 4 days. By 5am the following morning I was cramping and the process started. I had cramps, cold sweats and my insides turned to liquid. It stopped by 10am with only 2 other episodes that day. It does work. Be prepared and stay home for about 16 hours after taking it. Drink lots of water

I am in the midst of the side effects of this medication. I took 2 at 5pm yesterday, had a small movement about 13h later, and have been doubled over with painful cramps ever since. Very painful, nauseated, can barely drink, can’t eat, not great results. I don’t usually have constipation so I hope I never have to take this again.

This works, but be prepared for torture. Drink Gatorade and water before hand. Lay out towels on the bathroom floor so that you go from lying down to sitting up as needed, for either throwing up or explosive bowel movements. I was drenched with sweat and in agony. But it did it’s job. One works great. They need to tweak the formulation to ease side effects.

I had been struggling to empty my bowels after taking pain medication, worse thing I ever did. I took two tablets at 10pm woke up at 5am screaming in agony like someone was stabbing me in my stomach. It’s the worse pain I have ever felt which I then had to take pain killers again so kinda defeats the object. I was dizzy, sweating and vomiting. After an hour the pain killers worked and feel back asleep but no bowel movement and still feeling sick. How they are allowed to sell this is crazy. The pain was so intense I almost went to hospital. I was backed up for a week and with heaps of magnesium citrate and castor oil I could only get out a bit of liquid. Switched to restolax for 3 days and still nothing but liquid would come out. Even tried enemas to no avail. I finally took two of these after reading the reviews and yes, it was very painful but its the only thing that worked. Its kind of funny that people expect treating weeks of constipation is going to be easy and painless. Its not painless but thank God for this cause it was either this or the hospital.Read More Read Less

I am pregnant and going on two weeks no poo. I have tried to drink lots of water, miralax, stool softeners, and even magnesium supplements every hour. Nothing. My stomach was really starting to hurt and hang out excessively. I’m 9 weeks and I looked about 5 months. Yikes. I was very uncomfortable. Now ducolax worked. Within 9 hours. But it was incredibly rough and everything you read in these reviews is exactly how you will be feeling. The 1-5 reviews where they had a pleasant experience, I do not know how that was possible honestly. Your stomach will hurt so bad you WILL feel like up chucking yesterdays meal. I took zofran immediately so I wouldn’t and even then It was so hard. I sat in a hot bath for like 10 minutes before I had to jump out and sit on the toilet again. Writing this review while taking #6 trip. This medication does not wear off for 36 hours. I took 3 tabs and it kicked me up and down. However, I really needed it. I did cry and use all the toilet paper and couldn’t find the hemorrhoid cream ??, but if you are on your last leg for near impaction and constant pain, get ready for the worst 24 hours of your life. No sleep!?????? you will feel like you’re dying. You will pray longer then you have in a couple days. Fresh wind of faith to get you through this experience. Read More Read Less

I'm writing this for all those who have taken 1 (or more) of these and THEN read reviews and are panicking. Its going to be ok. I took 2 at 7pm and then started reading reviews about an hour later. I was absolutely terrified that I was going to die. I even considered calling someone to come watch my kids because I thought I was in for a hellish few hours. So I started drinking water. Like heaps of it. 2 litres within an hour. I kept drinking 500ml an hour for the next 2 hours and waited for the cramps and nausea and pain that I had read was coming. I had some gurgling at around 11pm but nothing else. I did need to pee a few times overnight but I was absolutely fine. A normal BM at approx 10am and it was all over. I didn't trust my body to eat anything for breakfast and I had a small lunch of toast and tea but by dinner I was eating normally. Moral of the story: Don't panic. Drink water. Its going to be ok. Drink water. Read More Read Less

I took 2 pills at 10.30pm for constipation having never used this product before and then came read the reviews on here and got quite panicked. I gleaned from the reviews that the people who had the easiest time drank a lot of water so I drank 2 litres of water before bed. I slept until my alarm at 7 (excepting rising to urinate due to all the water) and had a bowel movement at around 8. I had 3 movements in total, the first soft and the other two loose. I felt hot and clammy and faint during the 10 mins or so between the 3 bowel movements and then I felt well and went to work as normal. No other side effects. I would use this product again and my reccomendation to anyone else using it would be to drink a lot of water.Read More Read Less
