This product is effective. Take only one at a time (i took two once and was crying in pain). You should also plan to take it only when you can afford to have some quality bathroom time. You may need a few trips to the bathroom as it works through your system. Don't take it the day that you have something really imortant to do. I took it at 9 p.m. and it worked its way through at about 10 a.m. ...
I had received free samples of Dulcolax laxative tablets and took one two nights ago around 10PM. I woke up in the morning with moderate cramping, and while on my commute was feeling uncomfortable. I had jury duty that morning and as soon as the case began, I started feeling incredibly nauseous and hot, as well as crampy, and hobbled embarrassingly to the bathroom. There I stayed for 30 minutes hu...

I’m writing this review for the people like myself who read the reviews after taking these. This was my experience: I took 2 pills for constipation at 1pm with some water, avoided dairy all day. Around 5pm, I feel the need to fart. Was not a fart (RIP one of my sheet sets). Luckily I was home, so I run to the bathroom and have a quick watery poop. Since I haven’t pooped in over 2 weeks, I knew this was no way the end of it. I get some mild cramps around 7pm and run to the bathroom and have a real poop that feels like I’m releasing half my body weight. After about 20 minutes I feel super relieved, no cramps/sweats, nothing. I was a little scared to go to sleep after the 5pm incident but I woke up feeling great and back to normal. I took 2 pills at 5 p.m. and had some cramping and nausea around 7-9 p.m. but it wasn't bad. I had my first BM at 9 p.m., then a second at 12. I went to bed and was woken up at 5:30 a.m. with cramping and had a BM then another at 6:30. A few hours later I still had some light cramping, but besides that I felt fine. Reading the other reviews I'm surprised I didn't have a worse experience for taking 2 pills and weighing 120 pounds. But I did drink about 65 Oz of water and tea over the duration which probably helped a lot.Read More Read Less

I couldn't have a bowel movement for 4 days and tried other laxatives first. They did not work so I found dulcolax. I took one pill in the morning and nothing really happened. 20 hours later, I decide to take 2 pills and had a great bowel movement 12 and 16 hours later. Dulcolax saved me from going to ER since I was in severe pain while constipated. Dulcolax made my stool soft and strain free to pass. I'll never forget the relief this product gave me.

Dulcolax Tablets don't work to empty bowels. They just give you nausea and stomach pains.

Took Dulcolax as part of prep routine before colonoscopy. According to Dr. my colon was prepped very effectively. However the Dulcolax caused severe cramping. I will never use this medication again.

Even though I give good and excellent for ease of getting (it) all out, I must say the nausea for me is worst then the cramps . When those cramps come theirs no holding it in, it’s time to go and I go multiple times 2 to 8 hours after ingesting the pills. I have to take 2 pills in order for a bowel movement to be sufficient. my problems started 15,,,16 years ago.. ever since it’s been a week or almost 2 if I go in between. It’s like my intestines are paralyzed (gastroporisis) I think is the word. Till this day never diagnosed but my colon isn’t working properly. Only thing I can tell ya is it’s better to try 1 tablet first and if it works that’s good for you but if your like me and need that extra pull, make sure you drink lots of water, soda, tea, no coffee. The caffeine in that with milk will dilute the pill and make it not work as it should. It receives me I just fret when it’s time to take it lol .Read More Read Less

I took 3 at a time for the first time, let’s just say it wasn’t pretty. Needed 6 trips to the rest room in 48 hours. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU ARE NOT NEAR A BATHROOM ( aka working, event, etc..). However I lost 5 pounds in 48 hrs because of the cleanse. It really did do it’s job!

Dulcolax has worked for me all the time. I take it (1 tablet only) only when I didn't have a bowel movement for about 3 days or so. At the most, I take 2 times every month. It has been 100% effective. The stomach cramps are manageable and short. I wonder why commenters use 2 tablets at a time, that I think is overdose. Stomach cramps are NORMAL because your bowel is moving, and that's it. 100 percent effective.

Currently sitting on the toilet at 4:20am.
I took 2 tablets (big mistake) as I haven’t had a proper no2 for over a week! I took around 8pm. Cramps woke me up at 3.00am, spent about 20 mins having pregnancy like contractions whilst sitting on the loo but still couldn’t go! Over the next hour my bowels have completely opened up (which is obviously the goal), however, the pain in my belly is excruciating! I keep getting into bed and then nope.. back to just sit on the toilet just incase! I’ve taken ibuprofen for the pain as I’m allergic to paracetamol. The only thing keeping me positive is scrolling through all these reviews and knowing I’m not alone! Praying for a fast recovery! I would use again but definitely one or even half. Good LuckRead More Read Less

I’m a 20 year old, 131 lb 5’3” female with ZERO pain tolerance. I promise you, my experience with Dulcolax was nowhere near as bad as some reviews might make it out to be. I did get some mild stomach cramping, kind of similar to period cramps, but they didn’t last for more than a few minutes. I did have to take 2, along with a stool softener, and it worked the second time around with zero pain at all. I had a bowel movement that was liquidy, but otherwise normal and painless. Just make sure you stick close to the bathroom, start with 1 pill first, and you’ll be fine!Read More Read Less

I could not buy the senna tablets I usually buy so brought dulcolax.
First night took one tablet and it didn’t work.
Last night took 2 tablets.
OMG the cramps in my stomach are really bad.
I have never experienced stomach cramps from the senna as it is a gentle laxative unlike dulcolax.
Yes I have been to the toilet but the cramps remain.
I will not be using the dulcolax again.
The bad cramps have been there for 12 hours now even though I have had several bowel movements????

I took 2 pills and was horrified because I decided to read reviews afterward. I became very anxious to the point where I couldn’t sleep for most of the night.
I noticed a few reviewers had mentioned drinking LOTS of water, so that’s what I did. I’m not sure if that’s the reason I didn’t get really bad cramps, but I would still recommend drinking a ton of water anyway.
So I took 2 pills at 10pm, and by around 3am I had my first bathroom experience. It was pretty normal. I had maybe 2-3 more bathroom trips before going to sleep at around 6am. All in all, I felt fine! I actually think the anxiety from reading reviews made me feel worse.
The next morning at about 11, I experienced some moderate cramps while pooping, and the poop was pretty liquidy. However, once my bowels were emptied, the cramping completely subsided. And even at their worst, the cramps were no worse than mild-moderate period pains.
At that point I took 500mg paracetamol (tylenol) just to be safe, but I don’t think it was necessary. It’s best to avoid NSAIDs (including ibuprofen) because they can upset your stomach.
By 1pm, I’d had my final bowel movement of the day! It’s now 7pm and I haven’t had any bathroom trips since the early afternoon. I feel fine, and my bowels are nice and emptied.
I guess my main piece of advice would be to not focus on the negative reviews.
Here’s what I think: when people have a bad experience with something, they’re more likely to go online and write about it. After all, people love to vent (understandably)!
But when someone has a normal experience, they’re much less inclined to write a review afterward.
I’m guessing that many people have very normal experiences with this medication, but we just don’t know about it because they’re not bothered to make a review!
So don’t be scared, and drink LOTS OF WATER to the point where you’re peeing every 20 minutes lol. You probably won’t have a bad experience in the end, and you will survive!Read More Read Less

I’m leaving this review as someone who frequently has panic attacks and anxiety around nausea/pooping/any general GI symptoms. These reviews are scary but my experience was good!
I took one 5mg tablet after not being able to poop for 4 days. I took it around 7:30am and began to feel mild cramps around 1pm. It is now 1:50pm. I have pooped twice - the first was a little difficult in that it was still quite hard to get out, but the second was much easier and brought so much relief. I experienced very very mild pain - I’ve had period cramps that have been way worse. I currently am in bed with mild cramps and a tad of nausea. Make sure you drink PLENTY of water and have some painkillers on hand if you need them. My recommendation would be to always take the smallest dose possible to start off - don’t take more than 1 unless you sure you need it and you can handle it! Read More Read Less
