i have taken dulcolax a good amount of times .. people DRINK LOTS OF WATER AFTER YOU TAKE IT AND WHILE YOUR WAITING .. it is a must .. or you will experience pain and severe cramping .. i know this for a fact IF YOU DRINK PLENTY OF WATER YOU SHOULD BE FINE

Took 1 pill at bedtime. Took about 10 hours to work and had to use the bathroom at work all day. That was fun. 24 hours later my stomach is still gurgling, but it did help me get cleaned out. Feel much better. I would take it again if necessary., but over a weekend.

Popped one of these babies without much thought and then decided to look at reviews. Started writing my will just in case it really was as bad as they say but I survived with minimal damage and loss of sleep. Took it at 9PM with a glass of water preceding the pill. Had no dairy all day. Woke up at 2AM with mild sweats and minimal cramping - BMed and then went right back to bed by 2:30AM. All is well in my little system now and I'm back to being a happy pooper.

I had such severe pains before I took the drug, that any pain from it was inconsequential. It took about 15 hours to work, but I am pleased with the result.

I did not have any stomach cramps, I took 3 pills at 8 pm and the next morning at 5:45 am I had a bowel movement. I had to stay home though because every 30-45 minutes I had Diarrhea.

VERY bad cramps and nausea. Cramps where so bad so almost went to the hospital but had a movie t a few minute later. Then more cramps! Very painful process but did flushe out.

About as "gentle" as the Devil sticking his pitchfork up your butt. After reading the reviews I was a little sketched out in taking it, but at 2:00PM I did anyway. 12 hours later I was in the fetal position on my bathroom floor praying to the lord to make the pain stop. After about 13 hours, at 3:00 PM my first BM came with about a 30 second "predictable" warning. I barely made it and when it came I had to check if I cracked the toilet bowl from the momentum of the turd it came so fast. After that my stomach still riled with pain for another two BMs. When it was all over, I had to shower head to toe from all the sweat, tears, and poop. Took 1 pill at dinner. Woke up at 3am with horrible stomach cramps & nausea so severe that I thought I was dying. Broke out in a burning sweat which plastered my hair/clothes to me in gross,sticky fashion and then I actually fainted in my hallway. Came to and made it to the bathroom in time. After the drug did its thing I felt relieved but totally washed out for the rest of the day. Very effective drug, but I will never ever use it again.

Very painful. Hours of cramps but it does the job. Would recommend only taking 1 at any time and also to only be used to treat severe constipation .

I will never use this drug again. Very painful and up most of the night with severe pain and thought I might need to go to the hospital. Very bad!!!!

Best medicine for my problem.... easy bowel movement with no pain..

This medication works very well for me.

I thought I was going to die. This laxative caused cramps, profuse sweating, nauseous, and severe shakes. I felt faint and was ready to call 911. Will NEVER use this again.

Woke in the night feeling very nauseous and this morning have had extremely painful stomach cramps that doubled me over. Felt sick vomited, what a nightmare!

I took two pills and the next morning,was almost certain I had either been poisoned or was suffering from a heart attack! For a couple of hours, I had excruciating pains in my upper abdomen/chest, my heart was pounding, I was sweating profusely, dry heaving, on the verge of passing out and was telling my husband to call 911 because I was certain that I was going to die. My vision and hearing was going in and out and I thought it was the end. Then, came the most explosive diarrhea I have ever experienced, followed by weakness and nausea that lasted all day. Today I called the company that manufactures dulcolax. They pretended like they never heard of these side effects before. After I pressed them, they told me that the pills...at least the batch I took, had been manufactured at a plant in Mexico. When I asked if there was any quality control before the pills were brought to the US, the person I spoke with said she had no idea. My next step may be calling the FDA, as I am certain that this product, at best, should contain extreme warnings to the consumer or should be taken off the market. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! I am ready to call an ambulance. I have severe stomach pain, cramps and threw up couple of minutes ago. It is 3 AM in NY and I am I am in a terrible pain after taking “Dulcolax”. Never again.

took one - worked overnight - no cramps, no problems....very gentle...........best laxative ever used.

Yes, it works in clearing you out, but it's not gentle. BAD stomach cramps and even some nausea. Yuck. I'd almost rather be constipated.

This made me nauseous almost to the point of throwing up along with a very sick stomach. I wish I'd read reviews first. Will NEVER take again. Although it did work it was not worth the discomfort and interrupted sleep. Needs to have a warning label that states, this product ill cause nausea, stomach pain and interrupted sleep.
