I just had my Paragard IUD removed two months ago in favor or something that doesn't make me randomly spot or have cramps/backache. On this pill my periods went from a week to about five days and it's incredibly light! I'm not used to that, so it's nice. Overall, I'd recommend this BCP.

Cramps have disappeared completely, my periods don't last as long (used to be for a full 6-7 days, now it's about 4.) and my daily hormonal headaches don't occur nearly as often. However, I've definitely had dramatic mood swings overall. I had hoped these would regulate after a while, but stress and emotional episodes seem to have increased. Acne has also increased; which I had never had a problem with, before.

I started this birth control because of ovarian cyst and I was being put in the hospital a few times a year after they ruptured. I gained weight with in the 1st month but that was fine because I was under weight. A round the 4th month I took myself off because I had this burning anger feeling inside my chest and now believe that I was boarder-line suicidal. After I got off I returned to a normal mood but was having a period every two weeks or so and I also started lactating. It work for my cyst but caused all kinds of other problems. First birth control method I have ever used, am 21. Been using it for 4 months now, it is easy to use only because I don't have trouble remembering to take it on time every day. As with any oral birth control, its ease of use depends on how regular you are in taking it. I used to have VERY heavy periods with cramping and pains. Since taking the pill, I have lighter periods with no pain. Haven't noticed any mood swings, had no weight gain, and added benefit is that my breasts grew larger.

I'VE BEEN USING THIS BIRTH CONTROL FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND I HAVE HAD LOTS OF MOOD SWINGS. I'VE BEEN VERY IRRITABLE. I HAVE CRAMPS AND LOSS OF SEXUAL APPETITE. I ALSO SPOT A WEEK BEFORE MY PERIOD IS SCHEDULED TO COME.

I was on Yaz for three years and switched because of the negative press and my friend taking it had her Gallbladder removed. All my friends switching off Yaz all tried something different. The only side effect I had taking this (for about five months) was horrible acne on my face and back. Major change from when I was on yaz (not one pimple). Now changing to Tri-sprintec.

I have been taking Lessina for almoat 3 months, this is the first birth control I have taken. I've noticed I've been more irritable at times, and major breast tenderness and weight gain. It's effective, but I might change to another pill, the mood swings are overwhelming at times.

Lessina is the best pill I've been on. Since I started taking it almost 2 years ago, my periods have been significantly lighter and shorter, as well as less painful. No weight or mood side effects either. I'd strongly recommend this over Yaz or Ortho.

since i began takeing it about 6 months ago i have went from having very light short periods to having 2 1/2 - 3 week periods with awful cramps

very satisfied with this pill. I have experienced very few side effects and no weight gain at all. I do believe this medication enhances my irritiablity at certain times of the month, but other than that, I can not complain.

I was still bleeding heavy and my flow lasted 1month. I took it for 2 months and had to quit

i used lessina for a year. about every other month the last 5-6 months that i took it i would start my period a week before i was suposed to. and i would have it for 2 weeks.

When I op to use Lessina I was more concerned with not gaining excess water-weight,that I would later have to get rid of. I have been taking it for 6 months. I experienced no weight gain, no acne, and it is effective. However, I have NO sex drive, and it drives my husband CRAZY!!! I am switching my method..

I did NOT receive any weight gain I am 19 no allegeric reactions, I DID expirence irregular periods and some mood change. Been on it for 7 months

I started taking the pill about a year ago and I have not been happy with it. Almost right away I gained a lot of weight and it made me very unhappy and I couldn't get the weight off! And my bad cramping did not get any better. I am changing pills.

I gained weight right away, no period which bothers me. and my skin is broken out like I'm sixteen again.

I have definitely noticed weight gain right away. Also, I have noticed some swelling in my legs. I have also found a change in my mood.

I had a serious allergic reaction in the form of an unsightly rash that spread over my entire body.
