I was prescribed this medicine after getting out of the hospital for scoliosis surgery. At first, it did not work so the doctor put me on hydromorphone. About 10 weeks later he put back on this and it seems to be working but not as well as the morphone. I do believe I will be on this painkiller for some time. I'm taking the 7.5 - 750 strength tablets and take about 8 a day (every 4 hours.) To be honest, it works best if you are able to just sit around and do nothing. At least, that is my experience.Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed with fybromyalgia by my chiropractor. I went to my M.D.with the diagnosis. It had gotten to the point that I was barely able to make it through the work day!He at first tried me on anti-depressants, no relief. Then hesitantly prescribed hydrocone, all the time warning me of it's dependancy. I can now work without many of the problems I had before ,I can play with my grandchildren, something I was not able to do before taking this. It has helped me immensely!! So what if it has dependancy tendencies!! If it works and doesn't cost a fortune , let your patients remain on the drug until they come up with a miracle cure for this ailment!! Thank God I can now be an almost normal 54 year old gramma!!! Sue from Iowa Read More Read Less
