Why didn't someone tell me about this cream years ago?! I wouldn't have avoided doctors. After a cancer diagnosis and surgery, I was going into chemo with continual needle sticks (a major phobia for me). I researched Emla and asked for it. It worked great on my port and for weekly blood draws and frequent CT scan IVs. It takes planning and you MUST put it on at least an hour in advance. You must ...
My husband just got the medication in the mail today. He has very bruised muscles or bruised kidney. The pain he is having is very deep, so I was wondering if this medication would be able to reach that deep. Also, how long does it take to work. He has add the first application on for about 30 min. and its not doing anything.

Used off label to reduce head sensation. Very effective treatment for premature ejaculation. Apply a pee sized amount to the underside of the head and Frenulum area 15-30 mins before needed. You should remove excess before use as your partner may lose sensation. I wish I had discovered this years ago as its a life changer. Seek advice before use.

I specifically used the Emla patches on my kids for their routine vaccines, and it was a terrible experience. It's far stickier than a bandaid, and I think most parents will agree, ripping a bandaid off a young child is not fun! My children were screaming in so much pain after I ripped off the patch (it ripped out the little arms hairs on their arms), they were terrified. I think they didn't feel the needle because they were so distracted by the pain they just endured. I truly believe dealing with the minor pinch of a needle would have been less traumatic and quicker than dealing with the patch.Read More Read Less

I had to go on iv sedation today and I have a huge phobia for needle and would avoid it at all cause. I applied this product on as directed for 2.5 hours prior to my treatment. It was very easy to apply on even with 1 hand. At first I had no hopes this product will work because I didnâ??t feel any numbing on the area. I was on the dentist chair and when they were about to administer the iv, I was freaking out and shaking. But when they stuck the needle in, I felt absolutely nothing! Not even pressure of a needle! I was very pleasantly surprised! Will definitely recommend this product! I think it will be nice if more people knew about this product because I am only finding out about it now after so many years of fighting nurses about needles and iv. This would be perfect for children so they donâ??t get scared of getting needles! The only negative thing about this product is that itâ??s expensive. I am from Canada and it costed $12 for a small tube of 5 grams. It came with 2 dressings so you can apply it on two locations of where they might find your veins.Read More Read Less

I've been using Emla for a tattoo. First of all, you need to aply this expensive little cream at least 2 hours before a session and the result is great..for only half-hour! An average tattoo takes between 2-3 hours! It is freaking expensive for the quantity in the tube. I'd rather faint and cry than ripping myself off with something that can't "Freeze" for more than 30 mins! And when the pain comes back...your brain isn't used to it so makes it 3 times more painful! If you wanna get a little $50 buck butterfly on your elbow, go for it and buy the cream! But anything bigger than the palm of your hand, this cream won't make the job!Read More Read Less

It worked great on my port and for weekly blood draws and frequent CT scan IVs. It takes planning and you MUST put it on at least an hour in advance. You must also cover it well (try Tegaderm bandages). I've had to "train" hospital staff to use it but it works for me. Be persistent with your caregivers.Read More Read Less
