I use the medication for diarrhea from colon cancer. Imodium has quit working. I only need to take this once a day in the morning instead of trying to time medication before meals. It is effective and easy to use.

I have been taking this drug since 2008 after colon cancer surgery. I do not notice any side effects. Not tired, not dizzy most times it works. Once in a while need to supplement with liquid Imodium. I take one pill a day and that mostly works for me. Too bad it's a controlled substance. I have the hardest time with Doctor and drug store getting prescription for more than 30 days at a time.

I was prescribed this medication because I was having terrible diarrhea-straight liquid CONSTANTLY throughout the day, no matter what I ate or drank. This was accompanied by severe cramping & bloating; out of nowhere, for months. At one point, I went to the ER because I had no clue what was going on. CT scan results were handed back to me "remarkable." Sent me on my way telling me it was a virus and to let run it's course. Weeks later & desperate, I finally went to my PCP who prescribed me this in addition to Cipro. It absolutely helped control my symptoms & FAST I might add. Then, within about an hour and 1/2 I began to feel nauseated & carsick. It reminded me immediately of the side-effects of opiate pain medications. My PCP did not tell me this was an opiate. NEWSFLASH-it is. If you are opiate-sensitive, this medication will make you nauseous!! Sort of disappointed I wasn't told this was an Opiate by my Dr. I did notice that it could make you dizzy, but opiates are a whole other level, & here I am sitting at work, as we speak, trying not to vomit. I'm supposed to be taking this 4 times a day for the next 2 days, which I just cannot do. I will have to figure out how to do this early evening/through the night because I'm just happy I'm not going to the bathroom 80 times a day. This really helps me get through the night. It does make me very tired, so I can't use it at work. The pain is like labor and some days at work are pretty rough. Microscopic colitis is a brand new diagnosis for me so I'm hoping meeting with a nutritionist and a diet change will help more.

I have only been taking this drug for 3 days but so far its been fantastic. Doctor told me to start with 1 pill per day for 1 week then increase if needed. I take it with dinner and it gets me through the whole night without having to go. I can leave the house without worrying about where the next mens room is!!!

Been 'running-off' for 6 days straight. Taking this medicine for 32 hours, thought it was working but suddenly oops gotta go!

I always feel so sick with this medication and it doesn’t work at all for my condition.

Sit stand and sit again don’t move to far from toilet

I have to take multiple doses B4 relief. I think I need a higher dose or more pills a day.

did not help the diarrhea and it caused a GI spasm or something. ?? like an internal tremor. Pharmacist says its fairly common, but its not notated in the product information and my Dr. didn't mention it either.

now I take one pill a day on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

I have had colon cancer twice and I get really bad diarrhea. I watch my diet and I still have a lot of problems. I will go 4-5 times a day ans just liquid.

This medication has been my saviour. Works within minutes. Stops spontaneous liquid diarrhea.

I've had diarrhea for the past 20 years and can't find a reason for it (my doctor blames my diet, but it doesn't matter what I eat). It did help me, but not entirely. And I think I developed skin tags from it...can't be sure, but the timing indicates it.

This medication has been so beneficial in controlling my IBS episodes. It really has been life saving,allowing me to work my job without any stomach explosions! Only side effect that I have noticed is dry mouth and possibly causing dry eyes...but this could also be due to allergies.

Was wondering if this was really oxycodone
