I have only been taking this med for less than a week but it has helped A LOT in this short of a time. It makes me be able to leave my house and not map out the bathrooms. I love this med.

I can now go out of the house in comfort. Many accidents before this medication. No side effects except dry mouth. It's like a miracle drug. I know it is considered a narcotic but for me, I don't care. There is no side effects at all.

Works well no need to fear it Ive had it written as two pills up to 5 times but never need more than 2 pills twice. Biggest problem is it's a class iv drug and almost all the Doctors & Phamacists think your a druggy( FLORIDA). Only one Doctor I met understood it, he explained its compunded with atropine to make it impossible to get high. Atropine speeds up the heart rate which is not good for my AFIB. But the other drug is a opiod and been around forever and I wouldn't even think of asking for that one, they would throw me out of the office. This is not a "vic or a perc", I have been on& off it for a long time, 5-6 years. If you are getting high on this medicine or expect to, you are taking something else also or mistaken. To my knowledge, no major side effects. Taken as directed it is great & safe & works pretty quickly for me. I have IBS & Celiac disease & after years of dealing with these issues, believe this is the best & safest.

one side effect is consant blur vision

Works fabulously to slow gut with having cramping intestinal pain. Adhesions helps relax the intestines. A miracle in stoping the pain. Only took when needed maybe three times a year after intestinal surgery.

I THINK THIS IS VERY GOOD IT WORKS FOR DIARRHEA AND PAIN I NO ITS A COMTROLLED SUBSTANCE IT MAY NOT BE A PERK OR A VIC OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT SO WHAT IF I HAVE TO TAKE THREE OR FOUR OF THEM !!!!!!!!

well i was in pain and had diarrhea but both are gone its a good med i no its a controlled subtance but it works

This medication has allowed my wife to resume a normal life free from embarassing episodes of uncontrollable diarrhea. A survivor of stage 4 cervical cancer, the medical interventions included chemotherapy, external radiation and radioactive interstitial implants. These collectively produced multiple bowel obstructions resolved by five separate surgical interventions over two years wherein with each the obstructed segment was removed and the intestine resected. There have been no further obstructions for the last 15 years.....the good news. The bad news....chronic diarrhea. Well I took my first dose this morning and ended up in the ER! It sent my intestines into spasms and was so painful I thought I was having a heart attack! All is well now and happy they gave me a med to to stop the spasms :) Other than that the med is working great!!

took this medication by mouth for 14 days after that I started to get loose stools again and I had to take it more often. More often means more than 3 times a day or more than every 8 hours a day. I sure loved this pill because it gave me more confidence to go places instead of sitting home always. I was able to get out more.

wITHIN 5 MINS OF CONSUMING-MY IBS SYMPTOMS WERE GONE AFTER I RESTED FOR ABOUT 10 MINS.FOLLOWING. I HAVE HEARD THOUGH-THAT IT IS DEFNITIELY A HARD NARCOTIC..ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE??

Son and I came down with some kind of virus. Both vomiting and diarrhea for several days. Ped doc put son on Pedialyte and Patient First doc put me on this. I'm in probationary period at work and cannot miss work, but still missed two days (even with on this med for one of those days). It slowed it on the first day, stopped on second day of treatment. However, nearly a week later I still have to take it. Keep healthy, clean house and sanitary practices. Not sure why this cannot stop it. May have to return to Patient First. Stopped diarrhea first day but did cause constipation. If I went off the med, diarrhea came back. I only take at night so being sleepy is not an issue. Is doesn't seem to cure the problem, just hold it off.

Has significantly decreased frequency of episodes but still have significant liquid after 3 days of taking medication. Also, possible side effect of itchiness on hands and feet.
