It does take 3 months or more to increase your iron levels to a healthy number, so it is important to take it daily to get the best effect. Also take with food, it helps for absorbtion and to stop an upset stomach.

I've been on it for less than a week, I take this one pill with a banana and eat the banana as the burps from the pill come to fend off the aftertaste. Hoping it helps my pregnancy anemia, I will update as soon as I get labs done. So far no issues.

My ferritin only went from 4 to 7 after taking this daily for 6 months. It should be at least 16. I must not be absorbing it somehow despite the Vitamin C because everyone has assured me it would fix it in less than 3 months. It didn't fix it. I will say it helped because my levels went DOWN on slowfe.

My reviews isn't based on rather it works or not because I had only been on it for less than a week. Taking this was the only recent change made and I noticed my urine was Puget like ammonia or chemicals. I stopped taking it since it was the only change recently made, and my urine is back to normal

So far, slight increase in problems with IBS(C) while taking this medication, 2 weeks in. Aftertaste is like a combination of garlic, onion, and a tire fire. Sickening.

I have had a lifelong battle with anemia starting with beef extract at age 12.(yuk) I have been taking vitron c as long as I can remember and though I could survive without it, I am not going to try. If I miss more than 3 days I am tired and sluggish. I take it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and occasionally it will upset my stomach but not enough to cause any distress. There can be a discoloration of my stool but that just indicates to me that I am taking enough. Since taking this I no longer have any problems with anemia. It deserves many more stars than provided here.Read More Read Less

I've been on and off Vitron C for the last couple years to up my ferritin. It works well after a few months, but while on it I feel like my digestive system is out of sorts. A nurse recommended Senna/S to help with constipation, which I'm trying this go around. So far it's helping.

My doctor prescribed Vitron C to me 1993 because of serious iron deficiency. I am still using it to this present day and have never had any side effect at all. This medicine works for me. When I miss taking my daily dose(one pill), I get shortness of breath and a headache. As soon as I take the Vitron C, those symptoms go away. So I never leave home without it. I keep a supply at home and I keep a supply on me just in case I miss taking my daily dose before I leave home.
