I have been receiving botox shots every 3 months as a reult of complications from jaw joint replacement surgery. Shots are given in my neck, shoulders, head, and face. Much emphasis is on the center (primarily) of my forehead. Although the shots have helped me significantly, for the third time I am experiencing much nausea, as well as much pressure with a hot tingling sensation in my forehead. For over a week since my last injections, I have experienced these symptoms. At times the pressure, and discomfort in my forehead is extremely painful (almost like a migraine - but not). At the least, I have pressure, along with the tingling sensation. My Doctor does not think it has anything to do with the Botox injections. I strongly disagree, and wonder if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms. Last night (over a week after the injections), I came close to going to the hospital. My Doctor called in Relpax, which did not work. Now he wants me to start on a Steroid called a Medrol Pack. Something feels very wrong.Read More Read Less

I have my doctor inject my muscles in my neck every 3 months. 300cc. which is the limit.It does hurt sometimes but well worth it.Before I couldnt even make a sandwich or take care of my daughter.This stems from an injury.If it wasnt for the shots I get I dont know where I would be today.I just had a hard time living with the injury.It takes 2 weeks for the shots to work after they are injected but where I go every 3 months my neck has a minimum of twitching.I have to get this for the rest of my life but thank god it works and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has twitching of the neck.I have spasmodic tortacollis from blunt trauma to the head and when I got the shots I had to get it 2 times in 6 months before it worked because it was so bad.But to anyone out there who needs it.That is your hope is this medication.It works and lets you live your life as normal as possible.Good luck to who ever has it and get the shots a couple of times and you will see a huge difference in your life.Read More Read Less

I have cervical dystonia. I find type B gives me much more relief for longer periods than Botox. The side effects hit immediately so be careful if driving a long distance from your doctor. I have more flexibitlty, less pain since I do try to fight against Botox and keep turning my head...what a concept! My last treatment was with botox. I begged this new doctor to look into type B for me since it does work on a different protein and that may be why it works so well on me.
