I am a breast cancers survivor x2. I have undergone chemotherapy and was put in a hormone blocker which I could not take. For the past 5 years I have suffered with hot flashes and night sweats horribly. I am past menopause but still my body reacts as if I am in menopause. I tried everything over the counter and changing blood pressure meds and Prozac along with the rest of the gang of drugs. I ...

I have been taking Veozah for 3 months. I wish I could say my hot flashes have gone away completely, what it has done for me is decrease the length and intensity of the hot flashes. The best part is less hot flashes following taking the daily dosage. I take the drug everyday at 6:30 pm that way I have less hot flashes at night for a more (somewhat) restful night. I wonder if there are any Doctors ...

I marked 5 stars on everything because compared to what I was going through to after... The benefits are much better than prior to taking the pills. I'm 51 and had a total hysterectomy last year, which put me in to full menopause. Since the night of my surgery, I've had no less than 12 hot flashes, not including night sweats. I would wake up in the middle of the night, soaking wet, as if I took a shower and went to bed that way. Some of my hot flashes were so bad, that I felt like I was burning from the inside out and I would have to lay down because of severe nausea. I've been on this pill since April 2nd and I've had maybe 3 full blown hot flashes to today, April 26th. I will continue to take this med as long as I can. For me, it definitely works.Read More Read Less

I started taking it last night. Through the night I had crazy dreams and woke up continuously. I was also soaked so the night sweats did not stop. This morning I felt dizzy, light headed and nauseous. I have continued with these side effects all day. I feel terrible with low energy and now have a headache late in the afternoon. The worst part is the nausea. I'm concerned about taking it tonight as I do not want to continue feeling terrible. Doubt I will continue with this. I have had hot flashes and night sweats for 18 years and have been on Venlafaxin for several years as an "off-label" perscription for hot flashes. Although I believe the Venlafaxin has helped reduce the hot flashes the night sweats continue to be quite bad. I have had to up the amount of Venlafaxin over this period to continue fo have some relief and my Dr thought Veozah might be the answer. I'm thinking not. Quite disappointed.Read More Read Less

I’ve been on Veozah for 4 months now. I’ve gone from having consistent, embarrassing hot flashes and night sweats to maybe one hot flash a day, if any…..but that has come with the following side effects: constant back pain, waking up several times at night, and I’m so tired all the time.

I have had hot flashes for 5 years now. I started this medication 2 weeks ago and I have seen a decrease in the intensity and frequency of my hot flashes. Unfortunately, I got my second Shingles vaccine at the same time I started this medication, so I wasn't sure if some of my concerns were related to the vaccine or the Veozah. I am still struggling with dizziness, which seems to be the worst side effect for me. The dizziness is frustrating because it hits me in waves. It makes me feel distracted/unfocused. The good thing is that my appetite is decreased and helps with the post-menopausal weight gain that I have noticed. Read More Read Less

I started taking Veozah on a Sunday then on Wednesday I had to stop. I had insomnia, diarrhea, blood pressure elevated, headaches, dizziness, lightheaded. My blood pressure was under control with medication until I took the Veozah. The top number of my pressure began to elevate. I immediately stop taking the Veozah. But for the four days that I did taking I didn’t feel any different. I was told after 5 days I should feel a difference I didn’t want to wait for day 5. My side effects were horrible. Now I don’t know how long it takes to get out of my system. This is the second day since I stopped and I still have the side effects. I was so excited to start then I had to stop. I have a diagnosis of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and have suffered since 2005 with horrible sweating. It has continued to worsen and now I am going through the change of life. I was having to change all my clothing 1-3 times a day. For a few years, I've had to wear cloth visor hats to keep the sweat out of my eyes, even in the winter. I have been taking Veozah for 5 weeks and I am amazed! It has greatly reduced the amount of sweat and hot flashes! I'm so thankful. I pray it continues to help.Read More Read Less

Started taking it 26 days ago. Worked for my hot flashes from the very first day. I’ve only noticed a couple of times that I thought maybe I was going to have a hot flash but then they went away. Amazing for me so far. I did have diarrhea and stomach cramping for the first few days and well as headaches. They have since subsided. No trouble sleeping at all, which is usually a problem for me no matter if hot flashing or not , due to fibromyalgia mostly. Time will tell if all holds true. Literally praying that it does. Already thanked God for what he has done for me so far through the use of this medication. Try prayer and staying close to The One in control!!! ??????Read More Read Less

I went from severe hot flashes, to immediate relief.. I also take Xeralto to prevent blood clots and Pravastatin for high Cholesterol, I am 55 yrs old. I have been taking Veozah for approximately 3 weeks now. I do have a follow up with my Dr in February. My only concern is that it makes my face feel strange (as if almost numb- like coming in from being out on a cold day). I dont have trouble sleeping, yet the feeling in my face also makes me fall asleep quicker and I like that! I did experience strange headaches the past couple of days but today I dont have any headache- perhaps they were from potential flu/virus?? I will ask my Dr about them, but overall- I will continue to take them providing side effects dont worsen. Read More Read Less

I started taking it 3 days ago. I don't think I'll continue, I'm having severe upper back pain since starting it...not sleeping good since I've been on it and yes, I notice the daytime drowsiness. I think it has decreased the number of hot flashes during the day but the side effects aren't worth it..

I just started taking it at 5 pm for the past 4 days and I am doing very well. I was awake ever 20 mins with night sweats before taking VEOZAH but not anymore. I pray that this medication will continue to provide relief and I can feel normalized again. So many years of suffering I cannot tell you. I am glad someone has finally decided to do something for us women who cannot take any hormones without signing our death warrant. Thank you for your time ????Read More Read Less

I have only taken Veozah for 7 days so I have not experienced any improvement in hot flashes yet. I am posting here to see if anyone else has experienced extreme dizziness from this medication. I woke up today and could barely stand up. I have never had vertigo, but this is exactly what I imagine it’s like. Please share if anyone else has experienced this. It’s the only change I have made recently.

I went from dozens of high-intensity hot flashes day & night with severe sweating (literally dripping down my face, neck, etc.) to ZERO hot flashes or sweating after 3 days of taking Veozah. Now, two months later, it seems to not be working as well. Instead of being 100% effective, it's now about 80% effective. I'm getting night sweats now, whereas I didn't for the first two months. The insomnia associated with Veozah is getting better, but now the overheating is keeping me awake. I wonder if there will be an extended-release version or twice-a-day dosing coming in the near future. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this medication's effectiveness and how it's changed my life for the better!Read More Read Less

I started Veozah 3 days ago. I noticed a difference immediately! I usually have hot flashes every hour or two (for 12 years straight so far). In 3 full days/nights, I've had 2 total hot flashes!!! I am tired during the day but for me, it's worth it.

I have been taking for 1 week. I started taking with very high expectations because my doctor and I have about used every other option to treat my severe hot flashes. I take it in the morning and see immediate results (no hot flashes!) for the next 8 hours. After those 8 hours, I go back to my normal routine of a hot flash every hour or 2 until I take it again in the morning. Since I have started taking this, I do not sleep well at night and struggle with sleepiness/low energy throughout the day. Maybe with more time I will see more long lasting results as those 8 hours are wonderful! Read More Read Less

Have been taking it for 5 days. Hot flashes have stopped, that's great! However, have experienced, nausea, digestive issues, abdominal pain, and thoughts from negative experiences from my past. Not sure if I will continue to take it. Hoping the side effects don't last...
