At first it was fantastic. I experienced energy and weight loss without changes to diet. My joints and arthritis like pains went away. I felt so much better overall. About 3 months in I started to experience itchy red eyes and headaches daily and major irritability and moodiness. Suddenly having bubble gut like my stomach was being blown up like a ballon and suffering major constipation. The bloat...

Contains Mannitol & Sucrose which caused stomach upset, gas, and bloating. It was not tolerable and medication was discontinued. Dissapointing. Manufacturers need to understand fillers in Thyroid meds do not work for most people with thyroid issues.

I have Hashi’s. Been taking adthyza 7mos. I have fewer side effects on this than other thyroid meds over the past 37 years. I’ve tried them all. Armour was the best until about 8 years ago, been trash since. All thyroid meds give me migraines. This one the least. They all give me arthritis pain. So far this one the least. They all hurt my eyes and cause blurry vision, burning and itching. This one the least. They all cause hair issues(fallout and dry texture) this one has almost zero effect on my hair and it’s actually growing with very little hair fall and looks healthy. They all cause me acid reflux, this one does too. They all make me constipated and bloated. This one too. I have more belly bloat on this one unfortunately. They all cause fatigue. This one does, but it’s less since I started taking it at night instead of the morning. They all increase my blood sugar dramatically, but I’m on insulin already so I have to increase my dose, which causes weight gain. This one does that too. It doubles my insulin requirements and no change in my diet! My blood pressure has been creeping up, which tends to make me feel anxious and moody. I’ve had blood pressure fluctuations from medications in the past and I’m recognizing the symptoms and testing it, hopefully doesn’t worsen with time. Overall this med is not a panacea, not fantastic, but for now, it’s as tolerable or more tolerable than most. Read More Read Less

The bloats were the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve read mannitol(which is an ingredient) can cause gastrointestinal issues. It’s like it just started building and building up with no relief. Belching and gas to release pressure were such a relief but it’s more like the gas was trapped building up. My hair did really good on this medication though. Usually thyroid medication(every single one and I’ve tried them all) make my hair fall insane. The only time I lose hair is when I take thyroid medication, Hashimotos didn’t make me lose hair, the treatment for it does though. Every. Time. Except this one. But what’s making me consider trying a compounded med is the belly bloat and mood/mental side effects. Not only did I become irritable and short tempered, I am depressed and suffering memory issues. Those symptoms have only been since taking this medication. It’s disturbing. I’m usually very resilient and happy but have anxiety and brain fog like no other on this. “They” need to do better! Take out the unnecessary garbage but keep the important hormones in a natural thyroid gland. We need better! Read More Read Less

Severe anaphylactic reaction. Not anything like old NDT. Do not recommend at all.

My endo prescribed this since I have been experiencing severe reflux, joint and muscle pain, severe eye irritation and general feeling unwell on Armour thyroid. Instructions say to take with 8 ounces of water on an empty stomach. My hair has fallen over half since starting it. I don’t feel the jolt or energy I would feel when Armour would kick in. I’m not having the eye irritation or reflux though. I’ve experienced weight gain with no change in diet since starting it. My digestion seems better, I always experienced constipation while taking Armour, but not so far on this. I’ve only been taking about 7 weeks. I’ve also had a few bouts of extreme cold(I don’t know what causes that but always suffered severely with coldness everyday of my life while taking synthroid for 15 years before stating armour). Overall I’d say it’s a good alternative to other brands of thyroid. I don’t feel like my dose of 65 is anywhere near as strong as the 60 of armour, but I won’t know until my blood work in a couple weeks. Read More Read Less
