It’s almost been a week and a half and so far this is the strongest medication I’ve been on.. and I’ve been on them all for the past 23 years. The only problem is, I wake up once every morning around 3-4 but I do fall back asleep.

This over priced drug has not benefited me anymore than Ambien did. I wake up multiple times in the middle of the night. Some days I’m sleeping maybe only 3 hours a night. Don’t waste your money.

The medication is really bad. I only took it for 4 days and had to stop it right away. I had headaches, sleepiness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting. Please be careful this this medication.

Worthless! The price is outrageous for a drug that doesn't even work. Don't waste your money as I did.

Despite my long-standing struggle with insomnia and having been prescribed various sleep aids in the past, I found this medication to be the least effective of them all. Although the experience was virtually undetectable, with no noticeable drowsiness, adverse reactions, or discernible effects, unfortunately, it did not alleviate my insomnia.

Been struggling with insomnia and terminal insomnia for 20 years. Quiviviq helps falling asleep (25mg), but has no positive effect when it comes to staying asleep. So, I don't see any advantages over zopiclon. And the hangover is a disaster. I won't take it again.

First night trying this med. I’ve been enduring this crazy headache that feels like someone pumped my head up with a basketball pump. I can literally feel the pressure in my ears like I’m under water. My heart is beating strangely and rapid. Honestly I feel like crap I don’t know if I can do this to myself again. I thought I was just making it bigger in my head until I read the other reviews. I can’t wait for this to be out of my system, big disappointment.

I’ve tried multiple different sleeping medications, they all make me feel like a zombie the next day, cause me to sleep until 4pm, take too long to work, or cause night terrors. I have gastroparesis so drugs that’s are supposed to make me fall asleep, take hours to kick in and stay in my system long into the next day, so my dr suggested this as a more gradual solution. She said it might take a couple-few weeks to fully work, but it worked the first night and has for a month since. It’s supposed to take time to adjust your sleep schedule, so all of the people complaining about it not working the first night were not given proper information. It did work immediately for me but that doesn’t mean it will for everybody. I don’t wake up feeling like a zombie anymore, I don’t sleep all day, I’m doing much better. This is a good drug. The best medication I have ever taken for insomnia. Beautiful sleep all night, waking up refreshed as I did when I was a child.

Just doesn't help with getting to sleep or maintaining sleep. Plus, it has given me a headache each time I tried it.

I’m writing this review for my 90 year old mother who has had insomnia most of her life. She started on Quviviq over a month ago and it has been a miracle drug. For the first time in her life, she is getting a normal night sleep. She awakens feeling refreshed with no hang over. It’s expensive but so worth it!

After having severe chronic insomnia for 5 years and trying everything on the market, prescribed and otc, my pcp who won’t give ambien tried me with 50mg Trazadone. This gave me severe racing heart and stimulated which is the opposite of how this drug is supposed to work. Doxapin left me extremely dry. Ambien ( who I got from some friends to try) was ok, I got 5 hours sleep (way better than 0-3 hours I was getting. I then saw my neurologist who treats me for CIDP who suggested Quiviviq 50mg. I’ve only been on it a week but so far although I’m not in what I call a deep drugged sleep, I’m in a more light slumbered sleep. For the first time in years I am dreaming, but not the nightmares that some are reporting but it’s worth noting that the majority of dreams take place in REM sleep which is considered to be the most healing sleep. I wonder if the nightmares are just an ‘adjustment’ to the medication and will subside as one catches up with long periods of sleep deficit.? Im dropping off to sleep way faster but seem to be waking up throughout the night but dropping back off again. So far I’ll take this over deep dead Benadryl/gabapentin, barely breathing sleep versus no drugs and awake the whole night. As for long term dependency/ habit forming time will tell. I took it and waited…and waited…and waited. Night One I did not sleep AT ALL. The next day I did not nap. Thought surely I will sleep better tonight—wrong again. I did not sleep yet another night. After Night 3 when I didn’t sleep again and I knew I had to find sleep that night I went back to what I was taking that at least gave me 4 hours of sleep and I stayed with that. I was so hopeful but sadly greatly disappointed

I have been using this medication for about 3 weeks now, and it has been doing wonders for me. I was sleeping, on average, 3-4 hours a night before starting. I am now sleeping 6.5 to 7 hours without many sleep interruptions. It took about 4 days to fully start taking effect.

I was excited to try this as my insomnia has been going on for 2 years and I feared I was becoming too dependent on Ambien. This is a horrible medication. I can’t even describe how bad a night I had. Within 2 hours of taking it the first night I started to feel exhausted but yet I couldn’t go to sleep. I know it sounds odd but that is how it felt. I felt “heavy” like my veins were filled with lead. I tossed and turned all night —and my Restless Leg Syndrome was going crazy. I felt foggy and tired like I had been roofied. I tried half a tablet the next night…same exact thing happened. This is NOT medication ready for the mass market yet. Something is wrong here. The feeling didn’t go away until later the next afternoon. Be VERY CAREFUL TAKING THIS MEDICINE….I have told my doctor and he told me to quit using it immediately.Read More Read Less

Took this medication for one night. Took me over two hours to fall asleep and then had horrible nightmares for the rest of the night. I will never take it again, would not recommend it for anyone, and have told my psychiatrist about the experience so she does not subject any of her other patients to potentially suffering the same effects.

Been taking for 2 weeks. For the first week it didn't appear to make me feel sleepy but then when I actually laid my head down on the pillow I would fall asleep within ten minutes, compared to 1-2 hours without. During the second week I would sometimes wake up very refreshed hours too early whereas usually I'm groggy on waking. And now in the start of the third week it's begun to make me actually feel sleepy which is helping with my bedtime procrastination. I've had very vivid semi-lucid dreams but luckily mine have been pleasant. It's not perfect and it feels like it's still settling down but I'm very pleased that something works.Read More Read Less

I paid $540.00 for a months supply. Even at 50 mg it did not help to fall asleep. I woke up with dreams and nightmares as usual and felt numb and out of sorts the next day. I stopped the drug after one week in order to get some sleep.
