After reading many reviews online, I was initially hesitant to take Paxlovid after testing positive for Covid. I finally decided to go ahead and try it, and am so glad I did! The only side effect I experienced was a bad taste in the back of my throat, which usually happened a few hours after taking a dose. I never got an upset stomach or had any other issues, and I always took it with a meal. I started the treatment on a Wednesday night, and by Saturday morning I was feeling SO much better. I’ve had Covid before and this made the recovery so much easier. I am so glad there are new treatments available to help get through Covid quickly! I am on day three of meds and as many have reported the taste that lingers isn’t ideal but i will take it over the symptoms i had with Covid prior to taking the meds. I would recommend this for those with sever body aches sore throat and fevers

Onset of COVID, Oct 2022, was chills/cough/sweats/sinus much like the flu. (Age 59) Almost three days of worsening conditions. Given other medical issues - took this treatment to insure mild infection. My sister, also ill at the same time (67), she did not. Both our infections broke within a day of each other. Mine on 2nd day of treatment. It performed as needed - limit the worsening of infection. Strong metallic taste was only negative effect. So enjoy food prior to dosage.

I started taking it within 24 hours after symptoms showed and tested positive. In the first day of medication, my body was aching, tired and with high fever. But, I still have the taste and feel hungry. In the second day, my fever has come down. The medicines give you bitter taste in the mouth. I notice eating some food or drinking sparkling fruit juice beverage can get ride of the taste. I took a short walk today. Like the doctor said it will shorten the sickness duration. I have been on this medication for 48 hours and my covid symptoms have rapidly decreased to the point where I need much less in the way of pain relief. The extreme headaches and joint/muscle aches have all but disappeared. My sore throat is now minor and my cough is much less severe. The only negative effect I experience from the medication is a very persistant bitter taste in my mouth. I will be glad when the course is over and my taste returns to normal. having said that this is a discomfort compared to the misery of covid.Read More Read Less

On Medication for 2 days ( 4 doses), Heavy metallic taste in mouth, extreme fatigue. Overall feeling of not feeling well, No stomach issues but have a very full lfeeling to the point o being uncomfortable. Tums does offer slight relief. Called Medical MD. this AM will stop medication. My Covid symptoms are only runny nose & occassional sneezing.
