36 yr old male. T level below 300. I am only 36 but felt 66. I had no energy, depressed, no sex drive and horrible sweating episodes. Once we found out what was going on I was put on Androgel. I noticed it the 1st day. I was, and am still amazed with it. I feel like a new person. I have so much energy, great mood all of the time and my sex drive is back! This is an awesome product.

This is a very dangerous drug.Currently being advertised on TV and other places as the answer to every mans problem. No side effects are mentioned and it has many! Was given to me WITHOUT blood tests. Appears men are the next hormonal science experiment as women were years ago. How many cancers and other health related issues must happen before the severity of the drug revealed. No side effects wh...

The gel is a bit of a mess and a pain in the butt to use every day. Other than that, my energy is back (going to the gym again) and libido is back. I think about sex all the time again now...did not even realize libido was low until it came back. Using this has improve my marriage greatly and made us like kids again.

I had a T lever of 120!! Probably that way since HS. I am 6 feet 248, used to be 320. I have always lacked energy, and recently could not get an erectiuon to save my life! It is still not where I want to be like "on command" but I wake up with at least 4-5 erections a night. Why do I only get hard at night? I wish I could get hard when I need it, and not when I dont - when I am sleeping. I guess nighttime erections are OK if you can awaken and relieve yourself! I also think that this is the BEST antidepressant that I have ever been on. There is NO doubt in my mind that it has improved my mental health.Read More Read Less

I'm 54 and have been using testostrone products since I was 22. I have Kleinfelter sydrome. I've done shots, patches, creme and now on Androgel. Patches were not working anymore so the Doc put me on "The Gel". Just got my blood test back and need to increase the dose. I do 6 pumps a day. I have hair where hair has never been. An increase in face hair. Another 5 years like this and I'll look like wolfman! I visit the Veterans clinic where I live and they provide me with the drug. The cost is really small but, I did pay full price about 10 years ago and at that time it was pretty pricey! I can't even go there today. VA has been very good to me! One thing does concern me is the gel has a base of alcohol and it is absorbed daily with me. I wonder what that does to my system? Does anyone know? Thanks for letting me share. :)Read More Read Less

63 yr old athletick male diagnosed with hypogonadism,i.e. weight and strength loss, low libido, depression, fatigue. After 6 mos, everything back to normal, strength gains verified by weightlifting are 20-30%. Only side effect has been significant hair growth in odd and frequently comical (to my wife, at least) ways.

Took 2 pumps of Androgel for 6 months, T still low. Upped to 4 pumps and feel no different..noticed an increase in hair growth and a little in energy. Libido still week. Also has caused weight gain around the abdomin despite regular cardio workouts. Am not sold that this is really working for me considering the additional hair, weight, and expense. The introduction of daily use Cialis has been much more benficial.

I've only been on it a week but I have already felt more energy. I'm not sure if its the medicine I smell or I'm getting the on-set of B.O. quicker. I'm a hairy guy and worry about that side effect. I will continue to update. 44 y.o. w/m

Have been using Androgel for some time. Last couple of months it has been totally ineffective. Doctor has suggested various ways to apply: From 8 to 1, or skip a couple of days. Says my body stops producing testosterone on its own because Androgel fools it. Anyway, am feeling tired and depressed, and as others noted, ED meds are useless unless there is a libido. Any suggestions?

Androgel works good but I saved about 95% of the cost by having a local compounding pharmacist prepare a custom-mix gel for me at the same dosage rate.

Five pumps daily. Decreased mood swings and depression. Taking for 8 years since I was 36. More energy but still feel my energy should be better. Litle to no impact on sex drive (mentally). Taking Levitra which works well (physically). If you are trying to have a child do not take this! We had to go through IVF for our second child, cost 40K. This would have been avoided if doc had said to not take this but there was not alot know about the side effects of this drug when it came out 8 years ago. A little concerned about prostate cancer with long term use but I think that as long as your in in the normal range you should be ok. Hoping they produce a similar product that gives me more energy. This is the best available right now.Read More Read Less

Been taking for about 3 years. Started with 1 packet due to low testosterone and low energy. Energy increased a bit but T levels not high enough. Dr. put me on 2 packets but still a bit low energy and T level better in normal range. Dr. put me on 3 packets and T level towards top of range. Had erection probs so also added viagra which I need some of the time but not always. Sex drive always been good. Still feel energy a bit low but everything else ok. Cost of drug is rediculous, hope they have a generic soon.Read More Read Less

My gyn just gave me androgel for lack of sex drive due to surgery and blood pressure meds. I hope this works my marriage is going down hill fast. I only found one other woman who reviewed this drug and she seemed happy. I hope I don't get facial hair like the dr. said.

Have been taking Angrogel for a year or so and my mood, energy, sleep and libido have improved greatly. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced problems when they go off of Androgel. My insurance company is trying to decide whether I really need it and have not approved my recent attempt for a refill. It's been about 2 weeks now since I stopped it and am feeling like I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I'm tired all the time, my mood is unstable, NO libido, and I'm just generally feeling bad. Of course I can't seem to get through to my doctor and my pharmacy says it's the insurance company that's the problem. Grrrrrrrr!!!Read More Read Less

When I began treatment with Androgel I was deficient in testosterone and lacking in energy, movement, and sexual activity. I had menopausal symptoms with night sweats, mood swings and hot flashes. This was with a t-level of 300. After 15 months on Androgen, I have a t-level of over 1,000, with no menopausal symptoms, and full energy and sexual capacity restored. I can't say cured, but the crisis which created the condition has passed. My doctor has advised me not to take any more, but simply to monitor and get periodic blood tests (3 months).Read More Read Less
