36 yr old male. T level below 300. I am only 36 but felt 66. I had no energy, depressed, no sex drive and horrible sweating episodes. Once we found out what was going on I was put on Androgel. I noticed it the 1st day. I was, and am still amazed with it. I feel like a new person. I have so much energy, great mood all of the time and my sex drive is back! This is an awesome product.

This is a very dangerous drug.Currently being advertised on TV and other places as the answer to every mans problem. No side effects are mentioned and it has many! Was given to me WITHOUT blood tests. Appears men are the next hormonal science experiment as women were years ago. How many cancers and other health related issues must happen before the severity of the drug revealed. No side effects what so ever are mentioned on TV ads. Certainly hear about them with other drugs and this one has serious ones. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THIS SEEM LIKE THE MIRACLE DRUG. The gel is very dangerous if it comes in contact with women and children. Not to mention the unbelieveable price tag. It also speeds up your body's own system (guess that's the energy you suddenly get). Could this be good for men with any type of heart conditions or other health conditions? Besides what a great way to hook your body on a drug. You own body stops making it own hormone once you start this drug. How can this be good unless you have had proper testing. I got off the stuff for months, got a physical and blood test and my levels after not being on "T" were nearly 700 but the MD was more than willing to write that RX without the necessary tests! Guess it was guaranteed income if you had to keep coming back for a refill. Just trying to stress that this is a very serious drug and not to be taken for just that little boost of energy. What a joke. Lost hair, gave me a quick temper, ruined my sex life and always knew exactly when it was running low in my body. Friends and family noticed a big change in my personality. I got so I needed a fix! Legal addicting drugs. The manuafacturer wants you addicted so they demean you on TV as living in the shadows. Need more honesty regarding this drug before it hurts more individuals. Hope this helps others to not take a chance with something that has only been on the market a short time and given out freely for the asking. Read More Read Less

I was on 4 pumps per day and felt great. I'm 52 years old and felt like crap, falling asleep while eating dinner, no intrest in sex at all ( not that I could ). Went back to the doctor after 3 months and my count was 1000, I was 137 before starting treatment. She move me down to 2 pumps per day and now I feel the way I was before going to her ? Go back next month to see levels and hope for an ajustment. Does anybody know if it is OK to sit in the sun with this stuff on ? I have looked all over and there is no information. ThanksRead More Read Less

I started with a T-level of 125, well below minimum. My last test showed the level at 600; my doc wants me at 800. I've been using Androgel TD for a decade. I won't trade it for anything! I'm full of energy, alert mentally, sexually active, always positive attitude. Only detriment is my skin is red from use; still, I won't trade it for another product.

When I started using this about 3 months ago I was feeling good. Now I am back to getting tired easily, not much of a sex drive, and developing a rash around my neck. To me the effects are short lived. Would like to try something else. I also have sleep apnea and it seems to make sleeping difficult.

I began using the Androgel product 6 days ago and the effects have been fantastic. I had a declining T level that was about 153 Total and 37 free when I began the treatment. All other blood work looked perfect, according to my Urologist. I began with 4 pumps, applied in AM right after the shower and on the whole torso/chest. After the second day of use, my energy began to return and increased daily. My libido came back in earnest by day 3, which made my wife very happy. My libido had suffered the most, besides a lack of ejaculate volume. My energy is back the the point that I dont need to take Adderall and have begun to back off prozac for depression. My mind is clearer and my memory is better than it has been in about 3 years. I love this stuff and am beginning to work out again with all the energy. My mornings are easier, with lots of energy to get moving... amazing feeling for a man that has felt like an 80 year old for the past 3 years.Read More Read Less

I had low testosterone of 290. After about 2 weeks my life really changed for the better. I had better memory, energy, libido, sleep and mood. I was using 5gm packets. At one month I went back for a recheck of the testosterone level and it was 3000, yes 3000!!! Dr. told me to stop and retest in three weeks. That was a week ago. I now feel like crap and am back to where I started. Can you really get a reading that high in one month? I think it was a lab mistake but doctor was firm about stopping and retesting in 3 weeks.Read More Read Less

After my doctor prescribed the lowest 4 pump dose, I went back and had my testosterone level drawn. It was actually lower. I increased to six pumps and a month later it was only slightly higher. Then I went 8 pumps, and still my testosterone level was only 5% higher than it was when I started. I feel no different either. Apparently my skin just doesn't absorb the stuff. I'm thinking about going with the shots--or something that I don't have to wait around with my shirt off and avoid my family for 15 minutes until it dries. That part is really annoying. I have been on AndroGel for 6 weeks and have seen on change at all. $148 dollars with insurance($880 with out) for a 90 seems like it might be a waste of money. So far very disapointed with the gel.

I had been using Cialis which worked for a boost for about four years, and in he fifth year even after taking a dose, I didn’t have interest in sex. My Dr. ran blood test and determined my T level was low. For the past 4 month I have used the 2.5 gram packs daily. I generally feel better. I have lost my belly flab. My love interest is better although I still rely on the Cialis, but now I have total control of my orgasm. I have lost testicle size, in fact, at times they will ascend into the inguinal canal until I push them back out. In short this 64 year old would say that Androgel is a nice improvement, but not a miracle. Read More Read Less

53y.o. male. Have been taking gel packets for 6 weeks. The primary change is increased upper body muscle mass, making me feel strong. So far, no change in erections. Have been experiencing swollen calves and ankles which I find quite disturbing.

I was feeling tired all the time and the Dr. checked my t-level, it was 88!! He said it was the lowest he had ever seen. Been on Androgel almost a month and have seen improvement. With some of these reviews I wonder how long it will last?!

69 yr. old starting on 5 pumps daily of Andro Gel 5 months ago due to testosterone of 207, loss of sex drive and being easily fatigued. After a few weeks, my sex drive was back like at age 35. Thought the product was fantastic, but then sex drive took a dive. Surprisingly, recent test showed level was at 772. Extremely high for me, even as young man, so my GP suggested reducing to 4 pumps per day on the theory I might do better with lower T level. So far no improvement plus my testicles are shrinking.Read More Read Less

I am in my 2nd year of taking Androgel and energy level and libido is normal now. Also, getting an erection and maintaining one is much much easier. I had a lot of body hair before taking Androgel and that has increased a lot. Extra body hair is the only complaint.

I lacked energy, had no interest in sex, and was strangely depressed even in the face of good news and supposedly fun experiences. A testosterone test revealed a score of 43. A man of my age (58) should come in over 200 and 400-600 would be considered healthy. After 2 months of androgel at the 5 mg. dosage every day, I felt very slight improvement. My test results changed very little. Now I have the 7.5 mg. gel for daily use but it will be 6 weeks before I can be tested again. This is very slow progress. I've also found a big gap in the directions for use. The directions call for application in the morning, but there is no discussion of what to do if you go swimming or shower or use a hot tub later in the day. Do you (a) just apply once in the morning regardless of what you do later; (b) apply in the morning, and reapply again later if needed, or (c) wait and only do the initial app. after these activities? I chose (b), with my dr's approval, only to be told by my pharmacist that I was using it too fast. I dropped back to one app. a day regardless of what I had planned for later. This meant that it about 50% of the time, it was being washed off sometime before the day was over. Overall I am not impressed with this experience so far and am not improving much. People vary greatly in the permeability of their skin. Read More Read Less
