36 yr old male. T level below 300. I am only 36 but felt 66. I had no energy, depressed, no sex drive and horrible sweating episodes. Once we found out what was going on I was put on Androgel. I noticed it the 1st day. I was, and am still amazed with it. I feel like a new person. I have so much energy, great mood all of the time and my sex drive is back! This is an awesome product.

This is a very dangerous drug.Currently being advertised on TV and other places as the answer to every mans problem. No side effects are mentioned and it has many! Was given to me WITHOUT blood tests. Appears men are the next hormonal science experiment as women were years ago. How many cancers and other health related issues must happen before the severity of the drug revealed. No side effects wh...

I have waited one year before reviewing this medication because I wanted to see if there were going to be any side affects and to see if this stuff would actually work over a reasonable period of time. Here is what I have found; This medication works exactly as advertised, and I have noticed no adverse side affects with the exception of a few new pimples in the area of which this medication is applied. Other than that, I am totally satisfied with the results. I have now the energy to get the things done that need to be done, and my home life has improved greatly. Previously I was on Testopel pellets that were implanted under the skin and I developed some weird reactions to it that my Doctor had never heard of before. It took about three months for those reactions to wear off and then we started on Androgel and no weird reactions appeared. I would recommend this medication to anyone who is leary of needles or injections. It has worked for me very well, and all I need to do is be careful around my Grandchildren so that they do not get exposed to the areas where it is applied. I have my life back.Read More Read Less

I have been using Angrogel for about 8 mos. It was hard to get the correct dose. I started with a T count of 23, then went up to 800. Dr. lowered amount then went back down to 50. Now I use 5 pumps ans really rub them in. Wait 10 mins before I get dressed. Seems to be working good now. Also just started with Express Scripts mail order - much, much cheaper!

The cost of this drug is terribly high and also what are the long term effects of this drug? Women are not suppose to stay on HRT for very long - is it different for men?

I have been using Androgel transdermal for 3 years and have found it to be exceptionally effective. I began taking it because of loss of energy and attitude. Both energy and attitude has improved considerably and as a bonus a huge improvement in my libido. I have had no adverse side effects from the medication.

7 days after starting on Androgel to my stomach area I had an emergency gall stone attact. A month later, I started back, but applied to one shoulder each day with half the previous dose. (2 pumps). I went about four months and started filling my legs with fluid. (edema?). I stopped again and take 1 pump for a couple months and off a few months.

I used androgel for two years, but my T never got over 500. I felt some improvement, but still felt tired. I switched to 100 mg weekly injections about a year ago and feel much better. T levels are around 700 and the acne I got from Androgel is greatly diminished. I just didn't absorb Androgel very well. I hate the weekly shot, but it is worth it. The shots are also a lot less expensive.

I was on Androgel for about 10 months. I started out with low T 200ng/ml (normal 240-1000) ramped up from 2 to 4 pumps per day, then switched to the 1.62% formulation. Got up to 220, so not much progress. Application is not too bad, but you have to I have to remember not to have skin contact with wife n kids. Overall, I wished it had worked.

Androgel was prescribed to me because my testosterone is very near the low range (300). It worked for about a month. After 3 months, my testosterone increase only by 1% so I have to take higher dosage. After 20 days, I have to stop Androgel because it is causing anxiety and nervousness.

I have been on the Androgel 1% for about 3 years now and I have to say it has truly changed my life. I went for a medical research and was disqualified and did not know why. So I called and asked why I had not heard from the research team and they said my testosterone level was too low for the tests they were performing, it was 29. I checked with my urologist and he put me on the Androgel and my life simply turned around, my mood leveled out, my fat belly disappeared, the only thing negative to report is my testicles shrank. Not a bad trade for feeling the best I have ever felt!Read More Read Less

Due to a change of doctors, my medication changed for two reasons; First of all my insurance paid for the previous medication, but not for it to be applied and second my new doctor informed me that the side effects I was experiencing was not a good sign. I have been using Androgel for about two months now and the only side effect I have noticed is a slight increasing of my normal irritable personality. Other than that, the only thing I can say about this stuff is that it actually works as advertised. I have a benign enlarged prostate that is hereditary and also a very low testosterone level after age 65 that is also hereditary, therefore HRT is very necessary to keep up my energy level to what I term as an acceptable level, and this medication has done the job. As with all medications I do not expect miracles, just that it works as intended so I never expected it to cure my ED. There are many other medications for that purpose and my doctor and I are looking into that possibility once I am cleared for their use by my cardiologist. Follow the instructions by your doctor and the medications recommendations and look out for the side effects and you should do fine with this stuff. But do not expect miracles or that it will do something that it was not intended to do, like cure ED, and you will find that it does work if you are not one of those that are susceptible to its reported side effects. Overall, I like this medication.Read More Read Less

It's been a little over 2 weeks now of taking Androgel 1%(4pumps per day)and the only change I've noticed is "NO SLEEP" I'm up all night, And I'm not talking about my penis. Insomnia, it's terrible. But, I have a 2 month supply, so time will tell. When I started my T-level was 156(I'm 49,5"10", 214#)

Have had low T for a while and trying to get wife pregnant. I would suggest getting your semen analyzed before and during treatment if trying to Concieve. After using for a few months my semen production went to zero. Went to a new Doc and currently trying different avenues. Hope this saves someone time and heartache.

I used the gel and loved it, never felt better.. I was no longer tired, my moods increased and sex drive was through the roof. I went off of it because a lapse of insurance and all symptoms have returned, insurance is fixed and have already made a appointment to get started back on, cant wait.....I did not know how bad I felt until I realized how great this stuff made me feel!!!

I am a long term user,(10+ years) and after reading some of these reviews I thought I needed to tell some things. First everyone should know it increases your risk of prostate cancer. The longer you use it the greater the risk. Second, as you body gets used to getting testosterone from an outside source it will stop trying to produce it, and your testicles shrink. And last, the longer you use it, the less effictive it seems to be. I do not regret using it, it has been a lifesaver for me. But it is not the answer to all problems as it is advertised on TV.Read More Read Less
