After decades of daily migraines that caused Social Security to deem me permanently disabled, 1st try, in 2002, I found relief with Botox injections. Then insurance cancelled my neurologist, so is desperation I tried ART, active relief technique. Awesome, but last 3 months I had a setback. Pain mgt. doctor gave me Trudhesa samples, but I had zero faith. Much to my amazement the 1st dose broke m...

While a previous version I used (Migrainal) didn’t give a whole lot of relief my neurologist was very enthused when this came out. I was very excited to have another medication on standby for the days I do get a migraine. I used this about 30 minutes into my migraine and instantly my migraine intensified. I only used one pump on the right side but the stream of medication is so intense and fast th...

I started taking this medication as nothing else I’ve tried over the last 15+ years has worked reliably. Not only did it do nothing for migraines but the side effects - the worst nasal congestion and pressure I’ve ever experienced - intensified the migraine and lasted hours. Horrible.

I don't get any aura, just straight to headache. This medication, although easy to use, did zippo for pain relief. No relief at all!!!!

I tried it and the pain it cause my nose and throat was pretty intense. Then I had a completely stuffed nose for around 8hrs that nothing could fix. Light nausea and dizziness. Did not do anything for my headache.

I took my very first dose as my migraine came on. Within 10 minutes it accelerated my migraine from a 3 to a 10. Neck stiffness, jaw and throat became tight and tingly. I was gagging from the medication draining down the back of my throat and became congested. 0/10 recommend this medication. I will be doing all my research before trying whatever I’m given next.

Been using Trudhesa for the past year and it works! My go-to was sumatriptan nasal spray (15+ yrs) but it always went down my throat, making me nauseous, & sometimes headache came back. The Trudhesa device does the work - don't need to inhale or tilt my head back. If the first sprays don't work in 45 mins, I take another 2 (from the same vial) and I'm set. My neuro explained that how it's such a little amount of DHE so it's safe. P.S. If it doesn't work first time & you DIDN'T have neg side effects, maybe try again? I didn't think it worked 1st time myself. Read More Read Less

First time use had no effect, second time use made the aura go away immediately but I had zero effect on the headache. In fact, I have the same level headache 12 hours later, so if anything, this medicine made certain the migraine would stay with me longer! Add to it the stuffy nose (I sleep with a CPAP) and this medicine has done nothing positive for me.

I've been using DHE shots for years to break migraine cycles - sometimes it does, sometimes it needs more than one - or it just doesn't do the job. Used a Trudhesa last night - first day in too many that I've not needed Imitrex. I have had no side effects at all - except the one I was hoping for.

Not worth it. Neurologist prescribed this to me after trying everything and I mean everything. Sumatriptan, then rizatriptan, then that stopped working so they put me on anti depressants after not leaving me alone about it for years. Then it was naratriptan with the anti depressants and on top of it they added the avjoy shot AND Qulipta. All four medications at once. Still nothing. So then they put me on Trudesa and the first time I took it it made me migraine a million times worse, I was stuffed up and felt nauseous. Tried it again a second time to give it another chance and it did nothing and just made me stuffed up again. DO NOT RECOMMENDRead More Read Less

I'm not going to share my years of struggle with migraine, we've all been there. I use a Naratriptan for general relief, but then was using Migrainal as a cycle breaker and it worked fine - but my insurance company insisted I try Trudhesa instead. OK fine. It didnt get rid of my migraine 100%, but knocked it down enough that I could function - it did eventually go away after several hours. My biggest complaint about Trudhesa is the plastic - SO MUCH PLASTIC! Here I am trying to make responsible choices to reduce the amount of litter and plastic in our world and here comes this drug, each in it's own individual single use plastic box - what the heck?!?!?! Not to mention the big ole plastic "gun" that delivers the meds to your nose. Really disappointing.Read More Read Less

Then insurance cancelled my neurologist, so is desperation I tried ART, active relief technique. Awesome, but last 3 months I had a setback. Pain mgt. doctor gave me Trudhesa samples, but I had zero faith. Much to my amazement the 1st dose broke migraine within 90 minutes! Astonishing since no med since 1990 has done so! The only side effect I experienced was with diarrhea that can easily be treated with imodium. I remain astonished but excited with how this could change my life. I was one of the 2% of intractable pain patients in the nation and only picked up RX in gratitude pain doctor answered my emergency call. His pain management practice claims to have astonishing results with other migraine sufferers. The supplier even accepted my Medicare HMO prescription service and only charged $25 per treatment. Again, I'm in disbelief as new meds (this is old med with new delivery system) committed per doctor, to charging no one more than $30 per dose. Miracles still happen!Read More Read Less

Reviews I read said it didn’t drip down the back of your throat but eventually it does and it’s awful! Made my migraine 100x worse and I will never ever take it again.

My neurologist prescribed Trudhesa Nasal as a rescue medication if my abortive was not effective. Although fairly easy to use, it was unfortunately not very effective. Instead of getting relief, my pain intensified with a burning sensation throughout my sinuses. Add that to my migraine pain and I was miserable for hours afterwards. I will not use again.

Very effective after getting used to using it. Used to see my doctor and wait for a long time to help with my migraine. I just use this now at home whenever. Initially the migraine worsened but after multiple uses it got more effective and more effective.

Just like with Migranal I got the typical nasal runny nose drip for few minutes but within 10 mins I could tell it was working much better. Hopefully this was not just a lucky mild attack and got better results. Either way im very very very happy!

I will admit the unique delivery system was innovative and did not burn my nasal passages or caused crying similar to other nasal sprays in the past, but it did produce significant nasal congestion all 3 times that I tried using this medicine. Also, there was some abdominal discomfort. Sadly, the medication did not provide any relief or freedom from migraine pain as was advertised. If anything, the migraine headache intensified. This one is added to my list of failed medicines.
